Koti Teertha - Pond in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

I had my best experience here. I never swam in such clean water field and really enjoyed with localities. I swam around 1 & half hour continuously and didn't get any skin problems. That means the water was pure . You can enjoy here but pls don't use any soap and shampoo and be responsible person and keep the pond clean since it's god's place . It's a holy water keep it as it is. Don't litter and enjoy the beauty of nature Stay safe it's deep

Though originally a man-made tank/ pond...Koti Teertha, Gokarna is believed to be auspicious ...and a ritualistic bath in it and then a Darshan of nearby Atmalingam Mahabaleshwar is considered to be very sacred. The pond is well maintained, guard wall all around and enough place for group bathing...and a small Shiva Shrine in the middle of the pond... nothing more but enough peace to make you calm.

It's a holy place , you can visit when you are in gokarna , it is for like mundan ceremony to remove hair and take bath

I didn't miss this time to bathe in this holy place. It is nice and big not many people around ...

Huge, beautiful, clean n serene artificial tank/ kalyani/ sacred pond with shimmering water in the broad sunlight! There's a small shrine with Shivalinga in the centre of the pond. Situated nearby Mahabhaleshwar temple. Will have to reach it through narrow lanes.

This place is good and it's nearby the main Gokarna beach. Hardly in this place five minutes is enough to see the pound. Nothing is expected this pound. You can go and click the pictures.

This is a lake with some heritage aspects associated with it. There is an excellent view of lake, Travelers need to be very careful as there is no safety railing around the lake, Already safety cautions are mentioned at entrance. Very careful step down movement is required. But very good one to visit.

It is located near Gokarna main beach.Here conducted several ritual functions.Exactly 1.5 km from Gokarna mahabaleshwara temple.
