Kothari Medical Centre - Private hospital in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

A hospital having a big brand name but detoriating service recently visited. The place is quite reachable with Ola uber or taxi, and has a decent clean campus. However one of their biggest problem is they don't mention the proper designation of their doctors, they only mention mbbs.. but don't mention further to trick patients which is a great problem for most patients in choosing proper doctor or getting remuneration of insurance. The staff behaviour in corporate insurance section is useless. They have a cafe corner which is highly priced with mediocre food. No canteen for normal patients which makes difficult to deal. Very problematic for most of the people who don't prefer bread items. They have a wheelchair favourable entrance and lifts and washrooms. Too much rush in some hours.. can make difficult to get tokens to registration.

I wish I could give them a negative rating. Initially, they admitted my father for about 1 month and after taking nearly 8 lacs money from us, they discharged my father and said to come back in 10 days but my father's condition worsened after taking him to the home so we came back then they admitted my father in emergency and asked to pay 70000 as an initial deposit.. then we talked to the management head and said that we can only pay 30-40k right now but we will pay the remaining amount the next day initially the man agreed for the same but after discussing all the scenarios related to money with their finance team...the emergency doctor came with a test ( in which we have doubt) and said to take the patient somewhere else as the patient is very critical and they cannot take risk.. Such a rubbish hospital with rubbish doctors and staff.. only money matters for them....i would never recommend this hospital to anyone..

Kuthari Hospital offers a clean and hygienic atmosphere for patients. The staff members are attentive and professional. However, the hospital is quite expensive compared to other options in the area. Despite the costly fees, the quality of service provided is commendable.

I have Worse experience in this hospital. They wrongly treated my mother. I lost my mother within 8 days. They discharged her without proper treatment, after discharge the next very day she started excessive bleeding from mouth and nose. She was rushed into ICU but died. How could the doctor's discharge her without proper treatment?? Hospital staffs are worse management worse, food worse, unethical doctors , no support from any one , they only know money and business. The doctor's calousness , full irresponsibility was responsible for my mother's death. All will be punished in justice of God. Never ever admit your dear ones in this malefic hospital.

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided during my mother's 2-day stay at your hospital. Despite a bill of INR 35,000, we faced the following issues: The food served was cold and not up to the standard expected from such a reputable institution. Housekeeping was severely lacking. No staff attended to cleanliness in my mother's room during her stay. It became clear to us that the primary focus of the hospital seems to be on generating revenue rather than ensuring the well-being and comfort of the patients. I urge you to rectify these issues so that future patients don't have to face such negligence. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

I am writing to share my deep disappointment with the poor care my mother received at Kothari Medical Centre, especially from Dr. Ranabir Bhaumik. My mom faced negligence, indifference, and a clear disregard for her well-being. The hospital's call bell system for nursing help was useless. At night, my mom rang for assistance, but got no response, leaving her feeling abandoned. I noticed a big difference in care based on insurance or government connections. Those with these got neglected, while those paying out of pocket got better treatment. My mom's case was a clear example. Unnecessary delays and tests happened, and the first doctor didn't refer her to a specialist despite my requests. It took four to five painful days, my father consult with doctor what treatment going on but doctor misbehaved and said that hum koi Bhagwan nahi hain, It can take 1 month or more also. Before my mother condition was better but after going to hospital her pain was increasing but no action taken. My father deside to discharge my mother from the hospital. My personal doctor, after checking her records, was shocked at the illogical treatment. The hospital seemed more interested in money from her insurance than fixing her problem. I warn others to be cautious with Kothari Medical Centre. Their lack of empathy, unfair treatment, and poor care are concerning.

I am very thankful to kothari medical hospital for curing my father's health problem with skillful treatment. I really appreciate all the doctors,nursing,and ward staff members for their commitment and timely providing all required services on time.
