Koteshwar Mahadev Temple - Hindu temple in Ahmedabad - Ahmadabad, India

Koteshwar Mahadev The temple of Koteshwar Mahadev is located on the banks of Sabarmati River in the area of Koteshwar. Credit of maintaining cleanliness of premises goes to the volunteers. I went there on a rainy day and the volunteers continuously working there keeping viper and broom in hands. Mahadev followers must visit this place as the surrounding is very peaceful. You can enjoy the nature at its best sitting on the bench on riverside. The architecture of the temple is quite wonderful with the well designed and precise carvings on the walls and ceilings. The aarti at the temple is delight to join which offers you calmness and helps in seeking the blessings of the Mahadev. Inside photography is not allowed infact u would not be allowed to carry your mobile/camera inside. Area needs to be improved for Management: Either allow belongings (purse/wallet/handbags) and mobile in the temple or provide the facility of locker to the devotees.

In Holy month of Shravaan I recently visited the Koteshwar Mahadev Temple at Motera and was amazed by its beauty. Situated near the Sabarmati River, the temple's serene ambiance provided a peaceful experience. The well-maintained surroundings added to the charm. A notable feature is that mobile phones are not allowed within the temple premises, which enhances the spiritual atmosphere. Highly recommended for a tranquil and spiritually enriching visit!

One of the best place(temple) You get full refreshing Environment & from the view of inners side of temple is pretty good (but there was a problem they don't allow you to carry your smartphone's & bag) But you can enjoy their feel a Perfectly peaceful vibe

The temple is beautiful, but what irritated me the most is you cannot take your belongings or mobile with you inside the temple. Come on!! where are we supposed to keep our belongings who has come in the cab or by walking or any other vehicle but not car. They even do not take any responsibility of our belongings if we wish to keep with them. They upfrontly deny for not keeping the belongings at the security. I was shocked with this stupid rule. If you have made such a huge premises and this beautiful temple but what use, when you cannot take anything inside. If you have a car, you can keep your belongings in the car, but if you come in a cab or scooter etc, then there can be an issue. Please make sure of these things. Quite ok ok experience but about the temple, It is definitely beautiful and lovely. Being a Shivji worshipper, it is super lovely temple and the arti is mesmerizing.

This temple is very peaceful. This place is located a little bit inside but worth the walk. The structure is very pleasant to see. Don't buy leaves and all for the Mahadev, they don't allow you inside. Photography is allowed. Mahadev here makes everything peaceful. Must visit temple of Mahadev.

Best temple on Bank of sabarmati river and the looks awesome.have facility of cool water Mobile and cameras are not allowed inside the temple.

Beautiful temple and nice location. Road is a bit challenge. Mobile phones not allowed inside the gate. Best time to visit during Aarti. One can sit and feel the peaceful vibrations

Mobile is not allowed even in premises.. Its ok but but locker facility is not available . Ladies are not allowed to carry their purse. No toilets available in such a huge temple premises. Even out side temple premises toilets ate not available in more than 1km radius . Tourists are not recommended to go there. For local people residing in near by apartments, its calm and beautiful place if they don't want to spend more than an hour.
