It's awesome place but due to some reasons currently reservoir view point and boating closed
Excellent place. However, before going there ensure that boating facility is running as during festive times, it is closed.
Kotpally Reservoir, nearly 90km from Hyderabad main city, and it's was made on musi river and you can see in the pictures I took, it's must visit place nearby Hyderabad. There are some points I want you guys to know: 1.Here there Is entrance ticket for car it's 30rupees and other vehicle prices accordingly,and you can pay by cash or via upi payments.parking is free. 2.If you're traveling with your own vehicle then it's good but you can go with some trip planners too as well because local transportation are rare to available. 3. Roads are good and in some areas but some areas they are damaged. 4. There won't be any restaurant but near reservoir small shops are present where you can find some snacks and drinks. 5. Washrooms are available but paid ones in van ,You won't find washroom for changing clothes there, so help yourself accordingly. 6. There you must go for boating . There's price list around 200 to 300 Rs for 30 mins. You can opt for single or double seated boat there. That's from side guys I might be missing some details but the above mentioned points would help you a lot I'm sure. A humble request to make the places neat and clean it's our responsibility. Thanks.
Best experience kotpally reservoir, boating, view next level . Boating prices double riding for 300, and single riders 200, and 30min time. But thrilling experience in boating. But in Google map proper location not showing, so you want ask nearby people and go
It is worth time spending there. We enjoyed 1 day ride towards Ananthagiri hills covering trekking, kayaking, swimming.

Purely depends on the day you're going. And water level which is not at all in our hands. The photos in Maps uploaded by others look wonderful, but reality on the day could be very different. The day we went, water was not upto the level, so it was nothing more than just a muddy lake All we could do was just wet our legs, some people played in water but certainly not worth it if water doesn't form such a great view as shown in pics.. also not worth the distance taken from Vikarabad. Purely depends on how much time and effort you can put and not get disappointed with. It's an average reservoir that forms extraordinary views on rare days
The best time to visit the reservoir is during mid rainy and winter season.This place has the kayaking (boating) for 1/2 hour which is costed at 300/- for duo and 200/- for single person.i visited this place in the month of November,along with my friends,we enjoyed alot
