Built in 16th Century. Large temple which was inside the historic Channapatna Fort ( the Fort has disappeared now) . Stone buttresses have been built to support the old structure . Quite a popular temple in the region .

Traditional vaishnava temple tucked in interiors of channapatna. Open 7.30 to 11.00 most days and longer weekends. You can have close darshan of Varadhar. Temple has tradition of taking Perumal upto Gopuram during Brahmotsavam which is unique.
