Kotagiri Hill Palace - Resort hotel in Kukkal - The Nilgiris, India

Best place to take break from our routine life. Awesome place for couples. I like they way of treating the people very friendly. And cook is awesome. We had nice meal, dinner,breakfast. The food is awesome. Rooms and bathrooms are neat.

This resort is quite far from the town centre and when we went it was deserted. The rooms seemed clean, but the resort itself was badly maintained. It was dirty, littered throughout with garbage burnt near each cottage. The play area was broken and unusable. There were no other guests or service staff at the resort. Since we were traveling with a child we did not feel comfortable staying there, hence left the place immediately. Not sure about the experience of others who rated the place so highly, but we were disappointed and actually repulsed.

Good place to chill with your friends and mates. The only thing is, they don't have any fencing around their place. On a place like kotagiri these safety measures sould be taken. Rooms were good. Food was too good for that much money (low).

Nice place escape routine hectic life. Please don't waste your time visiting nearby tourist spots like Ooty or thottabeta. Stay in the Guest house or cottage and enjoy the chill weather. Having a own vehicle is recommended to visit local shops for tea and varikey.

Very poor hospitality. Rooms are not worth for the money and price is higher compared to others. Rooms and Wash rooms are not clean. Resort compound is not clean and not maintained. Breakfast is not included with room rent. Not recommended for families.

A place tucked away far from the madness of the city. A place where you can actually de stress over the weekend. Scenic surroundings and the cool climate are very relaxing . The cottages a cozy and well equipped for accomodating 4 people . No wifi services available. Also the entire institution is quite understaffed but things get done somehow. Worth the visit .
