Kota Barrage - Tourist attraction in Kota - Kota, India

Kota Barrage is one of the four types of things built on the Chambal River, which is at number four. The tax on Chambal River is closed, first is Gandhi Sagar Dam, second is Rana Pratap Sagar Dam, third is Jawahar Sagar Dam and number four is Kota Barrage.Kota Barrage is built near Chambal River Front. Due to this, drinking water facility and irrigation facility is provided to the people of Kota.There is a thermal power plant near it where electricity is generated from coal.Pigeons and fish are fed here in the morning and evening at Kota Barrage, which is the center of attraction here.

It's the most soothing place ,one may sit for hours but the best time to visit is between 5-6 PM (Sunset ) * No entry charge * Less Crowd * Couple may sit for hours

Nostalgic place. There are several pigeons, chambal water dam. It's scary and beautiful at the same time. The bridge/dam is not in good condition, as this structure is decades old, without maintenance and not getting repair from years, you can imagine the condition. Visiting this place from 3 decades. Now this road is closed for Vehicles, recently we went for walk on that bridge during the foggiest day of 2023 winter season, the experience was awesome.

Kota barrage was Most Visiting place about 2014 but now this place looks abandoned as River Front of KOTA is Taking Place. I have Many Memories with this place. Before Second Bridge made which connected the Sakatpura area with the City, it was very Busy Site, Some times Traffic JAM used to be There. Now Total Silence with NO Person There !

It feels like it hasn't seen any maintenance in a decade, the place is infested with pegions and addicts, the riverbanks are flooded with garbage, the barrage structure is littered with pegion beat, there is not even a dustbin to throw trash.
