Kopargaon - Train station in Kopargaon - Ahmednagar, India

1. Its a quiet railway station but train going to delhi from here is always overcrowded. Platform is neatly maintained. 2. There is 1 retiring room, free ladies and sleeper waiting room. Also there is paid AC waiting hall for 10/- but its washroom is not clean. 3. Sleeper waiting hall is very neatly maintained and they clean it on a daily basis. 4. There is food stalls and many bhikari begging. All are old people and you cant avoid them. 5. 100/- per person is rikshaw price to shirdi. We were group of 12 people so we made a deal with rikshaw wala that while going to shirdi he will take us for 1200/- and while coming back to station for 900/-. Its a good deal. The people are very humble and not looters. Bus stand is very far from here so dont expect buses here. Om Sai Ram...!!!

This is a combined review for the railway station and retiring room. Though it's a small town, due to its connectivity with Shirdi, this station is well maintained. It has 3 platforms, and all the facilities are like ticket counter, and rooms are available on platform #1. There is a second class and ladies waiting room, which is free of cost. And the AC waiting hall has a charge (something like rs10 for the first 1 hour and so on). Retiring room facilities are also available at this station. There is only one non AC double bed room available to book online only. The charges are (on May 23) 300 for 24 hours. The room is well ventilated, and all the basic amenities included hot water. Mattress, bath, wc, and all were clean, but the room condition was a bit dusty. I guess looking at the level of station and surroundings, it was okaies.. Overall, it was a pretty nice experience at the small town station.

Kopargaon is one of the remote railway station connecting to Shirdi. The station has two platforms, ac waiting hall which is paid service. The station is clean most of time. The lift is under maintenance most of times.

Good clean station with all basic amenities. Alight here for Shirdi. This is nearest railhead after Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station. It has IRCTC food plaza, other small snacks shops, one paid AC waiting lounge for Rs 20 per hour, ATM near ticket counters, foot over bridge and good cleanliness. Very bad autowallas. Better to book a cab for drop to shirdi in advance @Rs 500/-. Auto wala also takes the same. Shared wrecked junks (autos) will take Rs 100 per person for Shirdi drop.

This is the nearest railway station for shirdi saibaba approx. 30km far from Sai Baba temple.shirdi also have a railway station (shirdi sainagar terminaus) but 1-2 trains or weekend trains Stop only so you want to go Shirdi then come here and take auto for Sai tapobhumi square (fair 20rs only) and you will get many buses for shirdi (fair 25rs) enjoy the journey.the City kopargaon is situated on the bank of godavari river.

Railway station is well maintained and nearest to shirdi but lack of public transport. No govt buses here . Autos charge in their fixed price. 300 rs per head.

KPG station is a small railway station but a clean one. Water bottles and vada pav stalls are available along with IRCTC food plaza. Also it has a great connectivity to Shirdi and devotees come to Kopargaon and take Autos from here. Shirdi is 16 KM away from here. Since it is a small station you find limited availability of trains here. Also from stations finding an affordable auto for shird or Kopargaon is a bit challenging for first time visitors as auto wala asks 400 Rs. Straight. And 100 in sharing. A good option is take auto to Kopargaon village at Rs. 30/person and then take auto from there to shirdi at Rs. 20/person (In sharing)

A station with good maintenance and nearest to shiridi but the transport availability was not good as there were only some autos with fixed high prices to move from there
