There are grand fairs organized on the grounds adjacent to the temple. Apart from this Puja, there is another important puja in this small city. Rajrajeshwari Puja has been organized in Konnagar for over 300 years now. It is held on the eve of Maghi Purnima (February). The town is known for quality sweets, musical excellence and dense population.

A very calm and serene place. The temples are beautifully done and are mostly open for worship. Quite suitable for people to sit and hang out or just rest on the benches present there by the sea side. A number of fast food stalls are also around for little snacks if needed. Comparatively neat and clean as well. However, the only complaint would be that some regular visitors, who behave as if they own the ghat, are extremely rude and obnoxious.
