I had a great experience kayaking in the Chapora river and around mangroves. As a solo booking, I felt assured of my safety enough to go in a single kayak and it was a good workout but a lot of fun. Our guides were very helpful and knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. We spotted many crabs on the mangrove shores that we were able to step on to, a number of different birds and even otters. The experience ended with a lovely sunset and snacks (the homemade hummus was delicious!). The team was also very responsive during the booking process and sending out photos after the trip. I highly recommend Konkan Explorers for an excellent adventure that you also learn a lot on, especially if you want to be responsible travellers.
Amazing experience, loved kayaking with my friends. They explained everything completely before we started kayaking and then helped us whenever we were stuck. They also provided water bottles and some snacks whenever we got tired. I can honestly say that this kayaking experience was the best highlight of my Goa trip. VB, Viraj and Narayan were our instructors and they did an amazing job. This is a must to do thing while you're in Goa!
Our first Kayaking experience in Goa was made unforgettable and amazing by Konkan Explorers. Instructor Viraj, Narayan and other team members made this experience extra special with their knowledgeable insights, friendly nature and expert guidance. Would definitely recommend Konkan Explorers to all who are looking forward to an amazing time in Goan waters. Thanks.
We went to Goa in July (monsoons). Decided to go for Kayaking with Konkan explorers and it was indeed a wonderful experience. The crew was very friendly, trained and we had lot of fun. Slight Drilling, wandering inside the mangroves, dipping through shallow waters. It was freaking amazing. They also let us row individually while returning to base while taking all the safety measures. Highly recommended.
One of the singular best experiences in any of our trips - and we travel quite often to varied places. Would recommend this to anyone in a heart beat. This is a super professional unit at Pat with the best in the world - and a strong personal touch that possibly makes it better! The booking process was simple and Glefi didn't just share packages but chatted with me on options, what it would entail specially for my 10 and 14 year olds. Super prompt, professional and warm. We took the boat plus kayaking package. On the day of the event it was raining buckets. We landed up at the jetty and despite everything being 100% ready the team offered us the option to cancel with full refund. We didn't. And I'm so glad we didn't. The next three hours were magnificent. Shraddha and her team on the boat were brilliant. We got lucky enough to be the only ones on that day. The team went through the paces of everything for just the four of us. I so appreciate that. As I said, super professional. The team was friendly and so full of information. We learnt of the ecology, the ecosystem of the river, the weather and a host of other stuff. And after a period of jumping overboard and drifting with the tide came the best part of the day. The kayaking into the mangroves. We got into the kayaks, all novices but all briefed brilliantly by the super friendly Hiren. We made our way in and in and in some more. At one point we paused. It was raining, we were deep in the mangrove. Light partially filtering through. Mud crabs on the branches above us - the scene could not have been more peaceful. Truly one of those life defining experiences. And we learnt so much about the mangroves from what the team shared. We paddled back to the boat - devoured the AMAZING home made snacks - yet another personal touch, just amazing. Changed on board and were ready to end the trip. I cannot thank the team enough. It's made the trip for us. As my younger one said - she rates the day 13/10. We will be back for sure. And reader - yes don't think twice about booking!
As a customer, I always give at most importance to the experience I get for my buck. Konkan Explorers no doubt went out of their way to make our experience awesome. We were a group of 8 founders who decided to spend a few hours kayaking and river swimming. Konkan explorers were highly recommended, and we decided to go with them. Poonam the co-founder of Konkan explorers was present and personally took care of us. Capt. Vikram and Viren, along with the other crew, were amazing. Their care for nature, guests and their own purpose of doing what they do was evident. We felt safe, taken care of, at all times. Viren's super fast coaching helped even the non swimmers in our group at ease. I came in with high expectations as a customer which were exceeded by many miles, but I walked back an inspired entrepreneur, for having witnessed a couple of other entrepreneurs who made a great dream turn into a business of making a difference, one trip at a time.
WOW What an experience!!!!! My trip had 3 instructors and 4 of us as a group. They took us to a floating deck where we boarded our kayaks. The instructors explained to us very well about what to do and what not to. It took time for us to get used to it and they also taught everything on their way. Now coming to the Kayaking session, can't decide where to start!!!! 1. Amazing river views 2. Lots of new birds and trees explained as well by them, I still remember the description and name of the bird they gave. 3. Nice arm workout. 4. Monsoon climate 5. Heavy drizzling. 6. Dip in the river. 7. Through the mangroves which were so freaking amazing. 8. Photos were taken by them and given throughout the session. 9. The relaxing session after the kayaking. 10. Food and drinks after the session. LAST, THE COMPANY THE THREE PROVIDED TO US. JUST LOVED IT. DEFINITELY WILL WANT TO SPEND MORE TIME!!!!
We had booked the Kayaking Formula (90min) for 5pm. After arriving at the Jetty, the team came to pick us up with a small boat and brought us to the main platform that was located in the river. In total, the group for the tour consisted of about ten people, so not too crowded. After a short instruction, we boarded the kayaks and started paddling into the mangroves where we recieved a very informative briefing on the local ecosystem. Do expect to get wet even if you never make water contact, make sure to wear clothes that you dont mind getting a bit wet/dry fast. We paddled back to the main platform after about an hour on the river and enjoyed some home made snacks and drinks. The team also offered us to try out the stand up paddle (SUP), so we did! Thank you to the team for the wonderful experience
