We had a good experience here. This place is very near to kaikaluru town, its in outskirts towards bhimvaram town & easily accessible . It is well maintained by APTDC & its very less crowded .Its a place for peace & relaxation with birds . Entry ticket is 10rs & 100rs for foreign people. Boating ticket is 250rs for a family. Many birds were there during our visit. Recommended during Dec-feb months.
Well deserved place for best tourism attraction but lacks due to promotion and maintenance. But this natural largest lake is worth to visit and you feel peace and calm at this place by watching migrant birds and their actions are funny if u observe birds carefully. Boating and other basic facilities are not available while I have visited. It's very near to kaikaluru town at etapaka village. spend time with local people over there and u can try fishing too. Carry food and water as they won't be available at the lake
No maintenance. Roads are in worst condition
Kolleru Lake is highly populared for migrated birds from Nigeria. This ia very big lake in Andhra Pradesh, India and this is not only destination dor Migrated Birds but also for the Fishermen who are dependant on this Lake for fishing. This is a wonderful sight seeing place for the tourists to enjoy with the Migrated Birds. They will come her by flying thousands of kilometres from Nigeria in early in Summer and fly back in Raining Season. They will give birth to their babies in this season and feed them and fly back with them. Andhra Pradesh Government making proposal as a tourist destination to attract more tourists.
