A really nice place to visit in the outskirts of the city. Over there you'll sure find peace and serenity form the daily rush of the city. The dam has nearly a 1 km, 2 lane pathway through which all the vehicles can pass. The road to the dam is also very green and amazing. It also leads to ratapani, towards the other side. And as well u get one other way to come back to Bhopal..which goes through a village. The best time to visit- rainy season :) P.S.- your mobile signals will go nearly 10 km from the dam
A scenic place, especially during monsoons. Lacks basic facilities like recycle bin, restrooms or shops for refreshments. It's not supposed to be a tourist place as it's a Dam, but given all the frenzy around "Clean India" movement, it's just sick to see people spoiling the place any way they can. Road connecting from Bhopal to kolar dam is absolutely pleasure to drive on. It's single lane road but it's good. Best time to visit kolar dam is between 4-6pm. You can witness beautiful sunset and have some snacks in the nearby restaurant.
An awesome view point. Moreover some places looking like islands and tall trees gives more pleasure. Must visit once. From Ratapani reserve it is a good way with beautiful views.
You got to be here, when it rains! The forest is in perfectly preserved state. I did witness a deer on the way to the dam.
Good place to hangout... Road is good. Road work in progress on DAM... Must visit early morning
Nothing special to see, when we visited it was under construction. Even after all we had some nice shots.
