Nice place picnic spot with lots of greenery. On the way, you can lots for spots where you can sit peacefully and have your own time. The only recommendations for those who is planning to visit this place for the first time is to drive safe because roads are narrow and both side on the road people are selling eatables, which cause random stops of visitors. So please maintain distance and speed from other visitors.
What a place and view I've never seen something that beautiful and calming, it was like a heaven in rainy season, great place for nature lovers , greenary mountains , dam view everything was perfect and soothing
Great place to visit via Road trip, the road is through jungle and drive is awesome on both bike and car, make sure you have enough petrol because nearest petrol pump is in Kolar area of Bhopal. When on Dam park your car near the middle for best view.

Kolar Dam, the place is a beautiful place for Sunday Outing....if u are a jungle lover, take a drive from the Salkanpur side.... The place is very near to the city Bhopal.... If u are planning to visit the place, I suggest u the sunset view from the Dam.... It's a good place for family outing !!
Really cool place to visit, journey was awesome through forest areas, one hell of a view on destination and soothing views during whole journey... I'll recommend coming here by a car, would feel more safe or if you have what it takes, go for a bike.
Fantastic place to visit. Must visit here . It is a beautiful dam in the lap of nature away from the hustle and bustle of bhopal city. A perfect picnic place to spend day to get a complete piece of mind. It's a huge dam, near Bhopal. But unless you have access to the Kolar Guest House, you may not find any picnic spot. Though there are resorts around the area, find out their activities, rates and availability.
