Panimur is a picnic spot with a huge river located in the district of Dima Hasao. There is a beautiful river view with a waterfall. A river with huge stones and rocks provides a rafting, boating and swimming experience. A botanical garden with different collection of flowers. A parking lot and many more. A ticket is required only for boating and rafting, for visiting this place is free.
The place is good for hangouts with friends. This spot is a chill pill for weekends and Sundays too! If you want to visit this place with family then I would suggest you to visit the Panimur Resort And Spa, which is situated just before the main picnic spot.
Great picnic spot. Best time during spring or autumn. During winter the river water is low and people can swim as water torrent is not present. Suggested to avoid during monsoon.
You will see extraordinary natural beauty at this picnic spot. The waterfall with the forest in the background will mesmerize you.
It's my favourite spot...have visited several times.
Overall i would like to give the spot 3 stars because after hours of travelling it's not worth it to see. Just the place is hyped. Besides that the area have a good scenery and that's all. Won't mention it as a picnic spot but good for adventure water sports if it's introduced with more ammeneties in future. Also the toilet usage should be free if you are paying tax to enter the area!!
Beautiful waterfall located on the border of West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts. Known as Koka in West Karbi Anglong and Panimur in Dima Hasao. Visited the waterfall from Panimur side as the road from Kheroni Charali to Panimur 2 laned road is in excellent condition. While the road to the waterfall from West Karbi Anglong side from Kheroni is in pathetic condition, so it is best to avoid this road and visit from Panimur. The facilities in Panimur is better and there is sufficient parking spots. However, visitors were not allowed to go towards the rocks and top of the waterfall from Panimur by the security personnel there. Every year, people die here by accidents or drowning so security personnel are deployed to prevent visitors from going too close to the waterfall. However, from Karbi Anglong side there's no restrictions and visitors can go anywhere they like at their own risks. Visitors from Panimur who still want to watch the waterfall closely can use the boat services. Boat charge per person is Rs. 50 for normal country boats, and Rs. 100rs for the smaller 4 seater boat with canopy. The boat ride lasts for approx 10 to 15 minutes only. Best time to visit Koka/Panimur waterfall is winter and spring when the water is blue and clear. During monsoon its best to avoid.
An enriching experience mainly because the land is unexplored and the water has the deepest hue of blue. It's mesmerizing and definitely worth visiting. Although the road to the place is not as smooth but the journey is definitely worth it.
This offbeat tourist destination is called the Niagara of Assam. It is a very attractive place for tourist. A nice place where we can spend our day with family or friends... It is probably the cleanest waterfall in Assam, located in the Dima Haso di
