Kodumbu Chathanchira Dam - Tourist attraction in Kanjirakode - Thrissur, India

Very small yet a great place to hang out in the evening and also in rainy tym... A check dam situated in Wadakkancheri, Thrissur.. The view from here is magnificient and also you coud stand or sit under the small falls which is a very nice experience. Parking for cars is difficult yet u coud park in the street.

Nice place to spend an evening with family and friends. Only 2km from ottupara town easily accessible. Not so much crowd during weekdays. You can walk through the forest beside the dam. Take bath near the shore not so deep. Do take extra care though.

A small dam. We can spend time with family and friends. Nice view. If you know swimming, you could have more fun. We can fishing here. All the Watter comes from the forest area. Hence, allmost all time there will be plenty of water.

Great ambience to enjoy the vibe of nature near to Wadakanchery, Ottupara. There will be people bathing in the water reserves and a silent place to take a nature rest. There are different access points to this place. No sure if fishing is legal here but there are lots of fishes. One of the best tourism spots in Wadakanchery and kind of hidden and less known to the public in Thrissur. Morning and evening skies are awesome views because of the beautiful water and forest alignment. Presumably can take a air boat and have a great ride in the water reserves and have great fun with friends. Kind of family friendly atmosphere and local people are always seem bathing and washing their clothes. Make sure you come along with friends so that it's safe to go inside the forest area and you can find rare species of cactus and which is not that common to find in a humid area like Kerala. Inside is a large rubber estate which is presumably private and a no entry area but if asked and enquired can be entered (maybe) As you walk inside there are spots to take a dip in the water and enjoy the fresh waters or simply sit and wet your feets and enjoy se good music. The place is free of any fee or tickets which makes it a readily accessible place and a frequent relaxation spot for locals as well as tourists. As it's a Covid situation it's good to keep the adequate social distance from people and be safe from the disease spreading
