Kodachadri Hallimane Homestay - Home Stay in Hosanagara ,Shivamogga - Shivamogga, India

Very much inside from the main road. Food served is only veg and you are not allowed to bring outside non veg food. Very strange rules. No attached bathroom and the food provided is not so good. Rooms are also very congested.

Good homestay to stay pre n post your adventurous trek to green Kodachadri-Hidlumane Falls Trek Food was really good Location is also cool, offered us great view right when we woke up in the morning

We can expect basic facilities at this location mattress could have been little soft and clean other than that I am not expecting anything from this homestay at this remote location. Hospitality was not soo good here though they are providing authentic tasty Karnataka style veg food and snacks the problem is, sometimes I got to go there and request them for snacks or tea which is very difficult for a introvert like me. If it rains they are not providing campfire we are lucky second day it didn't rain at that location.

Rooms are not great and needs maintenance. Tye room which I stayed was too cold due to air seeping inside. Food was good, the host was very friendly. Stayed in this Homestay for going to kodachadri trek. And only vegetarian food is allowed.

Stayed here with Karnataka hikes. Since there were 30 people we didn't get own room to stay we had to stay in dormitory and it was so much cold and mosquitos were there. Service and food was really good and so happy they gave so good food. Only issue I faced was not getting room if we go in group of even 3 or 4. Other than that it was really good and amazing location.

Great homestay for trekkers to kudachatri. The service can be better. We don't have network coverage so will have to depend totally on the wifi at the homestay but the wifi is very unreliable.

Looks like nature has given them permission to build the house amidst. It's blended well in the forest. First and foremost, The people running the homestay are wonderful and very hospitable. They provided very tasty home cooked food and sufficient quantity and make you feel well fed. Secondly, the accommodation is not for those who typically look for resort type luxury. These homestays are with basic amenities and not meant for you to spend time staying inside. This is primarily for taking good rest when you return tired from a long trek or spent most of your time in jungle. The only network that works here is BSNL. Nothing else works. It's surrounded by natural water flowing like a stream from mountain and they infact generate 1 U of electricity from that. Just cut your self off from the unrealistic world of internet and calls and connect and recharge with this serene ambience of nature

It's an average stay place. They give domentry bed in a room 10 can accommodate with one bathroom. They mention will provide hot water evening time but didn't receive it. Food they provide is veg and its okayish. They provide limited food and feel like we are in hostel where they stare at your plate what's the quality one takes. Some time they prefer to serve. Coffee is okay . Tea is pathetic. They allow consumption of drinks/alcohol etc inside the compound however they doesn't allow non veg. They do have WiFi but will not work majority of time. It's a good option if you are looking a place to stay with limited luxury.
