Premier institute for Dental Sciences in India. It's located in the sprawling Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College campus in Belgaum, Karnataka. The institute was established in 1986 and has excelled as a teaching institute. Postgraduate program has been there since 1991 and is pretty updated.

I m not happy from this hospital once I did RCT but they didn't did properly that's why I m lost my teeth now again'they did mistake first filled silver then its not proper then again refilling teeth colour cement thats also not proper now I came they said want to do RCT then can I again lots another teeth to get RCT

Dental Science is an area that has gained tremendous recognition in recent years. In the past, this important facet of Medical Science was neglected in comparison with mainstream medicine. The ratio of qualified Dental Surgeons was very low as compared to other medical faculties. This prompted the K.L.E. Society to establish a Dental College, one that would serve the populace of Karnataka and neighboring states. The Institute of Dental Sciences was setup in August 1985, within a sprawling 113 acre campus of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The Institute got off to a flying start under the leadership of late Dr. S.S. Khera as the first Principal. The Dental Council of India (the apex body) gave the approval for the BDS course in 1989, since then the institution has come a long way and gained numerous accolades in the process. Post Graduate course in dentistry was started in the year 1990. Today it prides itself in rendering Masters in all branches of Dentistry. All the courses are approved by the Dental Council of India. The BDS and MDS courses are affiliated to K.L.E University since 2006 and batches prior to them to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Today, the Institute boasts of an accomplished faculty in all departments. The laboratories and clinics are spacious, well furnished and have state of the art equipments and gadgets, both indigenous and imported to facilitate an excellent environment that is conducive for learning & patient care.

This is one of the worst place anyone can go to for dental treatment. You will be just used as a product sample where they will use you to experiment on. In the sake of getting good treatment where you are in need of good results here they will screw you up and create the worst condition upon you. Majorly here the treatment of patients is undertaken by students who have come to learn.

All the dental specialities are available.. Academics is good and college also conducts lot of community outreach activities. Good scope for extracurricular activities as well.. And finally the best part, the COLLEGE CAMPUS.. It is one of the best you can find..

Wouldn't recommend getting anything done over there spend some money and go for good dental clinic. Avoid having any surgeries getting done over there, they will screw up your face
