Nice waterfall but 1. Gmap is again wrong here too upto der is a temple in the kitwad. Upto that temple route is correct, later u have to ask localities. 2. Since it is back water fall then there is no proper route n it is like a bad road for vehicle especially 4 wheeler 3. Village localities talk only in marati, if u hindi then no worry, u wil manage 4. I saw there is no route to enjoy waterfall frm below. Only look no enjoy, if u wanna enjoy then come with ur hubby for tapa tap over der, der s nice place for it. Not worth n plz don't waste ur time to come here for waterfalls enjoyment n ha u can come for doing other things here, der's a huge privacy.
Kitwad Water Fall One of the best water fall in kolhapur Maharashtra . This water fall near to belagavi Karnataka also distance from 30 km only . It's suchuvated in Maharashtra in kolhapur district Chandagad Tahsil In Kitwad village. It's open only in rainy season only. Now it's Less Water but Place is more Beautiful. We have to visit once. If North people come to see then they can feel a vibe over here. No Trekking here, we can swim here. It has triangle shaped dam in that we can swim over here.
The tragic incident happened at Kitwad Falls, located close to the border of Belagavi taluk on November 26 afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Asiya Muzawar (17) of Ujwal Nagar in Belagavi, Kudshia Hassan Patel (20) of Angol, Rukhsar Bhisti (20) and Tasmia of Zatpat Colony in Belagavi, all students of a madrasa at Kamat Galli in Belagavi. In all, 40 students of the madrasa had gone on a trip to Kitwad Falls on Saturday morning. The tragedy reportedly occurred when they were taking selfies in a group standing close to the waterfall. Five students lost their balance and fell into the water
Place is good , scenery is ausam, you can have picnic there with friends and family, but you cannot enjoy water fall. No path available for going down to falls, very dengerous for kids, courageous gents can reach upto falls.
A very calm place to visit between a village. But then people have visited the place and made it so filthy u just see plastic everywhere....chips packets, footwear and what all. Let us act atleast little responsibly and carry our own waste back in the same bag we get it.
This waterfalls made for families who want to enjoy with the following water . I usually visit with my family in August or September.. It's better to carry Food from Home ..
It was good no doubt but there's no proper way to get down to the waterfalls. As you can see in the pics if you want to go down you have to climb down from dangerous slippery rocks to enjoy the actual waterfall. Hope they make proper ways as soon as possible because even healthy elders can't go down there like this.
Good place to spend a couple of hours with friends very near to Belgaum. The place was overhyped, and gained a lot of popularity a couple of years back which led to a lot of pollution around the area. The hype has died down quite a bit, and its is a bit more clean and maintained. The falls itself is comparatively small, but still offers beautiful views. You can reach the base of the falls, but please avoid doing so in the monsoons.
