Kishori Mahal Lohargarh Fort Bharatpur - Historical place museum in Bharatpur - Bharatpur, India

I have visited this place. There some places are very good as Museum . We have not entered in kishori Mahal due to construction work or renovation work inside. Museum is open on 12 o'clock.

Kishori Mahal was built by Maharaja Surajmal for his beloved wife Maharani Kishori hence the name. If you are visiting the Bharatpur museum then you can club your visit to this place also. You can have a view of the city below from the main statue of Maharaja Surajmal. The access to public is restrited to the GF , since the first floor is used as Secretariart office. Most of the write up at the entrance is in hindi and certain facts needs validation. Must visit place for History lovers.

From inside there is nothing to look at. Main eye candy here is the Maharaja Soorajmal Statue which is well preserved . Bharatpur history is written in a well mannered way on stone carved slates.

This is quite smaller fort when compared with other forts in Rajasthan, however the Fort is quite beautiful and has a huge moat (water in deep ditch surrounding the fort). The fort look quite beautiful in night with lighting effects. the history of the fort is posted as picture along with this review.

Not a big fort but good for a small trip.. You can go with kids and family.. No tickets for visit the palace.

Best historical place in Bharatpur Rajasthan, it's maharaja surajmal empire, and he won many fights from Islamic and foreigns etc .

The place is good to see but, the palace could not be seen in its entirety.

The palace is a decent one is the city of bharatpur and situated next to the lohagarh fort/ bharatpur museum. Unfortunately, even though it's a beautiful palace, during my visit, I found it is not well maintained and you cannot visit the hallways. In fact, most of it was closed and I could only visit the yard. The monument needs to be revamped to attract more and more visitors. Moreover, the entrance path to the palace should also be cleaned to make it look good. Nevertheless, if you're into old structures and monuments, you will definitely like it.
