Kishangarh Airport, Ajmer (IATA: KQH, ICAO: VIKG) is situated at Kishangarh on National Highway 8, 27 km North-East of Ajmer in Rajasthan, India.[1]. The airport was inaugurated on 11 October 2017.[2] It is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), covers an area of 742 acres and has a 2,000 metre long runway. It is also famous for Bani Thani painting. The airport is expected to facilitate transport to the pilgrim sites like the Dargah of Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Pushkar and fort of Prithvi Raj Chauhan in the city of Ajmer.[3][4] Kishangarh Airport, Ajmer It connects with Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Delhi by air and it almost 4-5 km away from Kishangarh railway station.. The airport has a 2,000 metre long runway that will allow daytime operation of smaller aircraft. The parking apron is able to simultaneously accommodate two ATR aircraft.[8] India will generate 100 megawatt power from solar energy to light up the airport. Considering the scarcity of water in the area, AAI has built a water harvesting system at the airport as also a modern sewage treatment plant for re-use of water.[9]
Nice airport. Easy breezy check-in and check-out. Ajmer is 32 kms away from here. Opt for safe travel from airport with registered tours and travel service.
Very less flights comes to this airport and hence looks so empty. There is no food outlet and nothing to buy here. Maxi cab services counter is there to complete rest of your journey. Huge place outside too. Parking is ample and free. Look for the national flag to easily find airport from the highway.
Small but neat and clean airport, ground staff is also supportive. The best thing is you not need to wait for any commute vehicle or aero bridge, one need to walk towards aircraft. Good for Ajmer, Pushkar & Kishangarh people, specially to pilligram who visit to Ajmer Sharif. I siggest there should be some more shops, currently there is only 2 shops with limited items.
Serving as a gateway for the city of Ajmer and Kishangarh, this newly built airport is here on purpose to help people in different ways, * For tourists from round the world to visit Dargah of Khwaja Garib Nawaz * Easy outreach of the marble business in Kishangarh to the global market * Ease of travel for tourists coming to Pushkar fair As of 2021, Runway length : 2000m (6500ft) Destinations served : 6 Check out my flight review from Ahmedabad to Kishangarh on YouTube channel : Travelness
