From the doctors and nurses to the administrative staff, everyone was attentive and made sure I felt comfortable and well-informed. They patiently answered all my questions and provided detailed explanations about my treatment plan.

The staff was exceptionally caring and attentive, the facility was clean and well-maintained. Their commitment to patient's comfort was evident in the comfortable rooms, meals, and various amenities available to patients and their families..

Me and my partner visited for a visa medical to travel to New Zealand on a working holiday visa. Great service! Everything was very clean and efficient! The x ray was done very quickly! Thanks for your fantastic service!!

I am referring patients to KIMS from past many years. Bit expensive but special care to all patients with out any categorization. All dept s services are excellent .The prompt action from the Management and other Staffs include DOCTORS are really appreciated .My big thanks to all. My father slipped in the washroom and fell down. We took him to KIMS emergency and they checked him for physical/visual issues with blood test and sent him home. Since he had issues controlling urine took him the following day to the Urologist OP who mentioned that his sugar level is very high and have infection which require consultation from internal medicine consultant. Internal/General medicine consultant/Doctor suggested to get admitted to the hospital for 24 hours to stabilize the sugar level which my father agreed and got moved to the emergency care area. Nursing staff out there was so rude in behavior dishonoring every request i put forward to him (Eg: Blanket request, Mask request, Lowering the bed request etc.) all based my father's request. Male nursing staff was raising voice and telling me that he has only two hands and can't address all our requests. After tolerating his ill treatment there, my father was moved to the Acute care unit. He was there for 2 days to bring his sugar level down, bystanders are allowed only twice a day visit there. During my visit to him he told me that he is extremely unhappy with the way he was handled by the staff inside. He told me that "if there is a hell anywhere, then that is here". He also mentioned that they are taking big money from the patients for their services and give the worst experience possible with torture. Third day he was moved to the room and he was so relived to get some fresh air in the room with known people around. Two more days in the room and he was discharged to get home. I have few observations for this hospital which might help others. Note that this only my individual view with my experience being there personally for almost 5 days paying almost a lakh bill. 1) My father was brought to emergency care on the day of his fall but no one found/diagnosed the need to admit him then until we came for outpatient consultation for urinary issue the second day. Note that he was moved to Acute care unit upon arrival as outpatient. This clearly shows that the assessment of the treatment urgency has been improper and untimely. 2) Nursing staffs in the emergency and acute care units are very rude and they are not handling the patients with empathy. Either they are overworked, understaffed OR unsuitable for the profession. 3) Wheelchair transfers are inefficient with lot of time waiting for them to pick up the patient from one place to other. 4)No Diet plan shared for a discharging diabetic patient. 5) In the emergency at least 5 doctors/staff will approach you to explain the case history over and over again repeatedly which will get to your nerve. In addition everyone passing by will ask my father's name. Lack of process in place to have proper case history recorded and passed to the subsequent person coming to check him out. Many more... Overall experience from the hospital was very poor though KIMS is known to be one of the popular hospital at Thiruvananthapuram. I am sharing this feedback to help others to choose a right/better hospital when they really need help and care with empathy. Urge the KIMS staffs/administration to understand that the patients are humans who are struggling with sickness. Will help if their experience being in the hospital can be improved to give them a better life experience. Pranamam.
