Amazing place to be till the time its natural beauty is intact. A lot of people visit on weekends. However, people should be sensitive towards keeping the place clean and not to litter around. The main attraction is the river and the surrounding view! Good for picnics.
It's a fine bridge. Very well made sans flaw. There used to be Tibetan prayer flags, which have since been done with it. They added a nice dash of colour to the place. One can even stop the car on the side and take in the stellar vistas of the Tons river on either side. Sure, you might get a few dirty looks from some daft and unemployed locals passing by, but you can simply ignore them or return the dirty looks or ask them to up theirs. Overall, this is a serene oasis amid the otherwise rapidly urbanising environment of Dehradun.
Good place for picnic. The spot is on the banks of tons river. The spot is usually stuffed on weekends with soo many tourists. Many People come here for picnic where they cook their own meals... specially chicken & rice and bath in the river. Now Tons river flowing here used to be clean....but now with the increasing tourism...the place is soo littered. People drop their waste disposables, wrappers, clothes, and other waste material all over the place. And that's exactly what happens... wherever humans go - degradation follows.

This place ia not so good as mentioned in the earlier reviews and comments. People mainly come here to drink and bath in the small stream flowing under this bridge. This place is inhabited by shrubs and forest. The water quality of the stream is not so good so my advice to people is please don't bath here. And my request to everyone is please don't pollute the area around the stream. After drinking or picnicking carry your wastes and residuals and drop them in nearby bins.
A very nice place to visit near or in the river. Be cautious regarding the rain because in the rain the water level immediately rises up.
I was born and brought up around this place.. It is a beautiful bridge that is built over River Tons to coonect Bishtgaon village to Chandroti.. It is a popular picnic spot and attracts many visitors, especially during summers.. Might not look very clean most of the time because visitors leave the place dirty after they are done with the picnic, but the local villagers often run a cleanliness drive to keep it clean..
