Khunteswari Temple - Hindu temple in Surada - Ganjam, India

Shakti peetha where maa khunteswari worshiped. Interesting thing is around the temple you can see coins permanently sticked but not sure the reason behind it. We stayed in the guest house at the hill top over night place is very quite and nice. Per night stay cost per room is 1000 rupees. Best place for picnic and one day outing. Also you can enjoy surreal beauty of mountains and surada dam. Other places to visit near by are 1. Panchanana temple 2. Kali temples (3 kali temple near by) 3. Yangeshwara temple 4. Suroda dam and park 5. Biju tower 6. Siddheshwar temple

Nice place to visit. Its under construction. Its on a hill top, so the road to it is very adventurous. A very good picnic spot. The surada dam can b viewed from here and its very beautiful view. The temple is very calm and quiet, with very good views. Nice place for spending sometime in calmness. U can arrange marriages here, as there is a kalyan mandap built in its premises with separate rooms for bride and groom. Its really hot in summer so better to go in winter seasons. Hill top temple, near the Dam view point must visit, temple with great historic importance

This place is amazing ......but the cleanliness is little bit disappointed......but overall a good place for picnic with your friends and family. The water facility is easily accessible......and a huge parking area is there......

Beautifully located atop a small hill beside Suradah Dam and Rushikulya River. Very calm and quiet environment with full of serenity. The 's eye view of Dam & river is quite enchanting. Trio goddess are worshipped here; Laxmi, Durga and Kali in a combined idol. A must visit place while passing through Suradah, the beginning point of ghat section towards Daringbadi.

It's nice. Nice structure & beautiful at the same time, but required maintenance.
