KHOKRA KOT - Archaeological site in Rohtak - Rohtak, India

It is an archaeological site but environment here is not suitable for appropriate audience. But it is not something to be curious about. Haryana government isn't much interested to keep it's heritages

Although I had lot of expectations, it was nothing close to it. The actual image is given in Haryana Tourism website, it's a vast vacant land which is used by nearby adults to play. There are no marking outside this place except a small mosque like structure at the entrance.

Normal, Average Place. All types of people living together here . All religions And community. Brothen Area .

From Historical point of view,this place has 4 ratings out of total 5. Historical findings hv bn. done so many times which related to ancient n historical kingdom of Raja Rohtas. Though this place is under Archaeological Survey Deptt. and any type of illegal digging is legally prohibited. But as usual,illegal possessions are increasing day by day on these lands.So unplanned development id taking place. During foundation digging process or unauthorised digging,many a valuable coins,articles,utensils,terracota based items are said to hv been found though it lacked authentic proofs. Overall hapazardous development is still taking shape at this precious historical asset.

A large archaeological site that yielded remains of pgw to various historical phases. Now being ruined by unauthorized habitation. Antiquities of khokhrakot excavation can be seen at mdu history museum.
