Khitauli Gate (Bandhavgarh National Park) - Wildlife and safari park in Garhpuri - Umaria, India

One of the four gates that I am aware of, in the Bandhavgarh Forest Sanctuary/Tiger Sanctuary. Good to very good chances of sighting a Tiger or Tigers, and of course other species of animals and birds. And in the right season, especially summers and winters. The drivers and guides, well most of them, are very experienced and knowledgeable of each zone in the Bandhavgarh Sanctuary. I said most of them because when I visited there were lot of new guides and drivers who were in the learning process with the guidance of the experienced ones. Give them a chance to explain or respond, and if they can't, ask someone else later. My personal favorite drivers of the Gypsy are Neeraj and Ravi who I met through another friend who was the one who organized the entire trip for our gang of college friends and who is an avid and experienced photographer.

Beautiful place.. beautiful Nature. So first of all , there are 3 Core Gates and 4 Buffer Gates in which you can visit. Then there are 2 time slots.. morning and evening. I think now they have also started the night slot which is from 7-9 PM. So as per them , the core gates have more chances of sightings as compared with the Buffer gates. The 3 Core gates are : 1. Tala 2.Magdhi 3.Khitoli The core gates are closed from 15th June to 15th October , and tourists can only visit the Buffer gates. Plenty of hotels are available and people usually reach Bandhavgarh with their own convenience vehicle. We went to the khitoli gate and in the morning safari in the month of January and it was extremely cold. (Morning Time is 6.30 AM TO 11 AM) If you are about to go in the winter season just pack yourself from tip to toe.. and if you are from the southern part of India , then I would suggest to keep even more warmer clothes. Some of the people were also having blankets with them in the safari ! Sightings of tigers are purely based on your luck , so be ready for it. We roamed for about 3 hours and then we were able to witness a female and male tiger together. About 20% of whole forest area is available for tourists and 80% is restricted for everyone. FOR FOOD I WOULD SUGGEST PAWAN RESTAURANT AS IT SERVES GREAT FOOD AT VERY REASONABLE COST. Ghar jaisa khana...for sure.. we all loved that restaurant/dhaba.

Khitauli gate is the 3rd core zone of Bandhavgarh and in recent times the tiger density in this zone has increased due to which chances of sighting the national animal are higher .

The experience in Bhanghavgarh forest is always good whether you tAke tala gate or khitoli. It's dense and beautiful,you can find all types of animals from wild boar to deers. Now a days you can spot tigers too if you're lunch enough. Good tour and team members. Keep up the good work
