Khisma forest is located in Nadia district and is a paradise for bitd and nature lovers. It is around 2.5 to 3 hours driving distance from Kolkata. This place is spread over a wide area and has various types of trees and cultivation land. Birdwatchers specially visit this area to watch and photograph various types of birds like the Blue tailed and chestnut headed bee eater, sunbirds, baya weaver, swift, drongo, owlets, flowerpecker, paradise flycatcher, cuckoos and many more. Overall its a nice place and a loving place for birdwatchers.
Not for the birdwatchers only. If you are a nature lover like us , you should definitely come here for celebrating nature. You can enter here free of cost. Be in love with nature and try to protect it with your best efforts .
Beautiful and lonely place. Various types of birds like orange headed thrush, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, chestnut winged Sterling, drongo etc are available. If you are a nature lover, it is a good location to stay in serenity for some time.
Small forest and Very nice place for photographer. You can find here various kind of birds and golden jackal. This is the place for nature lover and bird photography.
This is a small forest without any dangerous wild animals. There are lots of birds but I think that it is not great place to capture birds photograph. Forest is very dense. And you hardly can get clear angle. Also there is no watch tower. I think it would be nice to have one. Anyway I enjoyed the place. Chirping sounds can heal you. One thing I want to add that if you consider this place for photography then you can bring your MACRO LENS. Lots of common butterfly you can see. Sorry didn't know the names of these species.
One amazing Forest in nadia district...
This is very beatuiful place for birding. A huge area. This is free to visit. This is near to Ranaghat Bypass. As local people told recently there are a huge no of rescued Snakes was released so be taken care of yourself when tou are planning to visit. This is 30 min away from Hijuli forest.
We visit forest free of cost.The forest is full of variety of trees and we find beautiful butterflies,fox and some birds in the foraest.
