Khichdi Khichri - Health food restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

Ordered bisi belle baat and bajre ki khichdi. Both were delicious. The sabudana Vada was good too. Moong Daal Payasam and Labra was ok. The gur sikanji was good. Loved the bottle. In all a good experience. Have seen some interesting items on the menu. Planning to order them soon.

Never ordered food from them.. My wife got Cockroach ordered via swiggy.....

I ordered Bhoger Khichdi through Swiggy. Swiggy charged Rs159 delivery charges as distance is 13.6 km. To be very honest, Bhoger Khichdi was not upto the mark. They made with ordinary rice and moong dal instead of Govinda bhog rice and Sona Moong dal. I am completely dissatisfied.

A quaint place in Metropolitan area just off the Bypass and near the Durga Mandir. It provides only vegetarian food and has a varied menu. As the name suggests, they offer an exotic variety of khichdi like Baked, Satvik, Achari, Himachali, etc. They also offer Sabudana, Bajra, Dalia, khichdi. There is a wide variety of rice options like pongal, mexican, bisi bele, etc. Do try the soya rice. Snacks options include upma, poha, rolls, vadas. Their special is the stuffed idlis. A wide variety of North Indian vegetables, Bengali cuisine, raita, chutney are also available. Desserts like halwa, payash, firni are on the menu too. The lady owner goes out of her way to customize. The staff are very cordial. It's hard to get the quality of food at the price. The food is amazing and the price extremely reasonable.

I ordered for bhoger khichuri along with aloo dum,payesh and papad but as I couldn't eat aloo today..the owner was very kind enough to give me more payesh.I am very thankful for the gesture to the kind lady owner but once i rated the food for not being good as it was not khichri and it was kind of masala bhaat.She got annoyed and messaged me stating that it would have been better if she dint take my request of switching aloo dum with extra payesh.. Firstly learn how to pack food properly in proper containers as we are not taking YOUR FOOD ITEMS ARE BEING PAID FOR BY CONSUMERS.Secondly just bcos u did the switching of items I AM SUPPOSE TO RATE U GOOD FOR THE FOOD THAT WAS NOT GOOD REALLY? Thirdly it could have been taken in a positive manner and worked up on there are loads of cloud kitchen whoe take it in the best positive manner unlike u who messaged me in the revengeful manner.

We had suddenly dropped in during one rainy evening time to this place. The very first greeting smile of the ladies shall make you very homely. Although the place is best for takeaway but sit and dine option is also available. We ordered bhog ee khichri, beguni, papd, labra and chutney. Everything tasted really good and home style. Very clean presentation and the place os having open kitchen so they have made it to keep the place very clean and tidy. Overall good experience and must try for vegetarians. Theres a cute labrador who also tries his bit to make the customer feel at ease.

It is in my locality.. I have tried most of their items..I love their simple,home cooked sumptuous khichidi specially sabudana khichdi..you just have to try their moong dal payesam,gajar ka halwa once..and most importantly the owners behaviour is impeccable
