This place has archaeological importance. Very nice historical place to visit in Latur district. Peaceful and natural.
Around 1000 yr old caves made by Buddhist monks.... Peaceful place & well maintained road ways & surrounding but actual caves Condition is not good due to government nervousness....Most of the sculptures are broken & damage ... Need a good attention from government...
Nice places for a day out near latur. Could have maintained better
This place has a few caves carved out on a hill. Mostly infested with bats, and poorly maintained structure. Signs of destroyed carvings on walls and signs of defaced diety of different religions are evident. Temple is made in a few caves which are well maintained, only one is properly cleaned and in use, rest are symbolic. No food, water, or Security services here. Mostly used by stray animals or for hideout and drinking purposes by the locals may be. Good archeological place, poorly maintained, and good to visit with family at the daytime.
Historical place built around 6th century and away 44 km from Latur city. Take precautions while watching this caves. There is some raw road(approximately 500m) from Latur-bidar highway to reach that caves. No ticket, no security and not clean. Very big and historical stone are used to made this caves. There is Renuka devi Temple side of caves. Parking available and open for 24hr.
Superb 7-8th century sculptures in the middle of nowhere. Stay at tiger's den Airbnb for a great local homestay experience
