It's a secret place located at Kharghar sector 16, just behind Cidco Celebration and Vastu Vihar housing complex. It's an unexplored place due to locals unknown about this place. It's an extension of Kharghar creek mangroves. Human intervention is very minimal hence lots of birds and other specious located here. It's very beautiful place surrounded by water and mangrove plants. Tne best time to visit this place is early morning and evening. You can see lot of migrant birds and local birds and the nature will give you peace.
Dec 2022 , first time visited this place for bird watching. The habitat is fantastic. It's very accessible and not many people. With winters just beginning in Bombay, the waders have started coming in , we could spot a lot of stilts, sandpipers, painted storks, ducks- spot billed, teal, garganey , few grebes, bulbuls , sunbirds, harriers , cormorants, egrets, herons, bee-eaters, munias and more :) Will visit again soon !
Kharghar Avian Park is one of the best place to see birds in natural habitat. Morning and evening time is the best time to see the activities of the birds and nature. Authorities must take some initiatives to preserve this avian park, beautification of the place with bird watching tower, public toilet etc. to make as a tourist attraction.
The place is a good area to see some birds. Can't gurantee that you will see them everytime or at the time you visit but as it is surrounded by mangroves so you can expect.
Absolutely perfect place, if you are lucky you can get to see 50+ birds spices in a day.
Serene and picturesque place giving glimpse of the merger of city and the nature . You can get a glimpse of few birds here and there .
Terrific place for sight seeing, birdwatching and photography. On one side is a big wetland and other side is a mangrove forest. Winters are good to see waders. This place has about 150 species of birds across the year. In monsoon paths are full with water at some places.
