The place is dirty and there is no shade for passengers. Kharagpur is a very important place in West Bengal. So, the railway authority and Govt of west Bengal should think about the renovation of the place and as well for public amenities.

KGP bus stand is a small bus stand located in front of the station. There are more autos and taxis than buses, also called auto and taxi stands.There are no rest rooms here, not a very good place.Taxi auto and buses has no rules, take as many people as they can and there is no fixed fare .There is no fixed rent so they do cheating as much as they can, if there is an outsider, they demand higher rent , my personality experienced was very bad and I was very disappointed
