If you drive to the Khammam fort so much confusion in small roads leading to the fort . Choose the wide and longer way. Inside there is parking place. After that there is no sign boards you have to ask and reach the steps way to the top. We can enjoy the views of Khammam town from top. Maintenance is very poor. Carry your water bottle and eatables

Good place to visit. We can view almost entire city from the top of khammam fort. Evening sunset was awesome , Every one want to experience this . Maintainance was not upto the mark and no clear sign boards. Best to Visit khammam fort at winter seasons, to experience natural view of khammam city. The architecture at the entrance was awesome.

Built in 950AD by the kakatiyas, Khammam fort has a long and checkered history. It was taken over by the Qutub Shahi rulers in the year 1512 and subsequently passed into the hands of asaf jahi rulers in the 17th century. Built with granite, the fort stands majestically on a hill in the heart of Khammam town.

One of the Good places to visit in khammam. No Entry fees No shops inside if you need to visit there pack whatever you need and Go. From my point of view you can spend an hour there with your family. For local travellers you can reach there by Walk also from Khammam old bus stand. Just 1KM away from the Old bus stand. I reached over there from the new bus stand to the old bus stand it took only 20 rupees in Auto. And then by walking to Fort by Enjoying localities.

It is a very big fort And to reach this fort we need to walk up on the steps.from fort we see the major part of the Khammam .it looks very beautiful.evening time sunset time good choice for going fort.and we seen ancient weapons some and big big pillars. Above the fort some places are dangerous some places are don't have any safety walls.once we slip we may not be alive.so we need to take precautions care in some Places on the fort.and any surveillance cameras and any security protection not available on the fort.and single going on fort is not better for New people there is some dogs there so we need to go along with the family persons or Friends as a group.
