Adventurous trekking of 8km high trek and picturesque views that you don't want to come back. Khaliya top zero point is about 2 km from khaliya top. It's long belt of green mountains with grass and vegetation that I've not seen anywhere else and amazingly breathe taking views of the Panchachuli peaks.

Amazing experience.....you need to climb roads approx 7 km to reach there. After khaliya top there is a zero point which is approx 2 km from khalia top but believe me reaching to zero point may be tough task but after reaching there you will get amazing view. Neither I can describe those views in words nor any device can capture it . It just need to be felt which you can do after going there. And yeah keep some eatables items and water with you because there is only single canteen in midway but still I suggest you to keep water and some snacks with you. Must go atleast one time.....I am sure you will love it .

This is a difficult hike, mostly because of the altitude which can cause some breathlessness if one has not acclimated. You can break this into two parts by staying at a camp mid way, or complete it in one go as we did. It took us around 5 hours to reach the summit. It was summer but there was snow on the last part. Beautiful views from the top, and the hike is worth it for the views.

Zero point gives you complete 360 view of valley which is surrounded by Panchchulli mountains, milaam glaciers, kumaou and gadhwal region. Good experience. 3 hours from balati bend to kMVN base camp. Steep climb. Base camp has limited accomodation and most of these are in tents by private providers. Very helpful staff up there. Tent which was 1000 per person had dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was like sabzi, daal, achar, chawal and garam roti. Breakfast was poori and mast sabzi... Khaliya top is further 1 hour, zero point is another hour. Must try if you are in munsiyari. If you find it too difficult, just head back :-) but must try. Up there cafe serves tea, coffee, Maggi, bun etc. Anything else that you may need to keep yourself warm in cold night has to be carried yourself :-). No jugad up there...
