Khalilabad - Train station in Khalilabad - Sant Kabeer Nagar, India

Khalilabad station is good. Its not fully developed but atleast it has coach indicators on platforms which makes it easy to spot the desired coach.

It is a good railway station consist on only 2 platforms. The station area is well managed. It think this station has taken the initiative of Clean India from the bottom of the heart and made every possible way to keep the premises neat and clean. The station master of this station is a very gentleman and the way he treats the passengers in outstanding. I think he is one of the best government officials I have met in my life. There is supply of clean drinking water. The railway canteen is also good especially the Aallo Pakoda and bread pakoda with sauce. Outside the station hot tea is available and samosa will make your day. The only issue related to this railway station is the absence of good transport outside the railway premises so one has to be conscious of the transportation.

Khalilabad is a city and a municipal board in Sant Kabir Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the district headquarters of Sant Kabir Nagar district.The town is small but has a history that can be traced back to the Mughal emperors. The place got its name from its founder, Qazi Khalil-ur-Rahman, who was appointed chakladar of Gorakhpur about 1860 AD. At present this place is more famous for its fabric wholesalers, Readymade Garment Retailers, and much more, popularly known as Bardahia Bazar. The tehsil building, situated to the south of the road to Gorakhpur, is an imposing structure created after the first freedom struggle in 1857 in which the place was sacked.

The Platform is very beautiful but toilet is not clean.

Its a typical railway station of the Indian railways. However it has some good facilities like the water ATM, washroom, bathroom and separate for gents and ladies. Have a reservation counter with a decent parking in the station premises. Not all the trains have a stoppage here but most of this route has. It has 3 platforms and they are nice. Facilities are available on platform 1 only. There is only 1 shop for snacks and tea.

It's my hometown. Railway station is easily accessible from the city. For staying, hotels are available at walking distance, you can see one in the picture.
