Khajuraho Homestay Manjoor Nagar Khajuraho - Featured Reviews (212)
We've been in touch with Farman(the host) since our booking. When we arrived late at night he was at the station waiting for us with a rickshaw, and immediately he let us feel like a part of his family. We spent 5 nights here, and the host showed us everything around the city and suggested the best time to visit everything. He brought us to the south and eastern temple, and also explained to us those temples and then gave us our time to visit them in calm, then he helped us to book tickets for the main temples in the city (since they can only be booked online) and suggested we get there during the afternoon for a better view. The second day he came with us to visit the Raneh Falls and then he showed us the villages around the city and at night we cooked some very good fish (try to ask him if you can do the same since it is a cool experience and an excellent fish to eat) with his family and ate it all together since it was also his birthday. The third day he showed us the old town of Khajuraho with his friend that explained everything about the village and then we went to more villages and farms around so we went to buy some groceries from locals and we cooked local fish again for dinner. On the last day he helped us to book a very late ticket(ask it in the previous day since it's almost fully booked every day)to go visit Panna in the afternoon and he also brought us there and waited for us to go back home. We are very happy about this experience and to feel a part of their family. Thank you so much Farman
He is a friendly person willing to help you and make your stay as good as possible. He explained to me about the temples and the life there. I recommend this place! I wish i stayed longer.
Farman is a very good and caring host. He's helping you a lot to not get scammed and offers trips, too. The room is a 15 min walk from the city. You stay in the house where thr family lives. Food was tasty and hygienic and the room was clean. A good room in general in a quiet area of the city.
I chose the homestay based on reviews that were consistently high and genuine. I'm happy to report that my experience has also likewise been overwhelmingly positive. Farman and his team went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable, that we were properly informed about places we visited, were provided tasty food on request. Everything was on very reasonable rates and Farman also advised us on making the best monetary decisions for our outside trips. For example, he suggested sharing the Panna Safari jeeps which have a capacity of six by arriving early to book "tatkal" or booking temple tickets online through ASI to avoid touts and also avail a discount. We were also updated with the latest news: Just a day earlier, a car parking scam had been revealed where the parking people charged Rs.50, which is for buses, for Khajuraho's full-day car parking, which should be Rs.20. We were advised to refuse the ticket if overcharged. Overall, we felt we always had the support of a caring host. Location-wise it is walking distance from the Western Group of temples, some of which can been seen from the roof. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms had running hot and cold water, clean towels and toiletries provided for all members of our group. Any request we made was immediately catered to including extra blankets or our Indian habit of wanting tea as soon as one returns from an outing! We had a great cook in Anil who stays on site and was ready to provide us all kinds of food including noodles, butter toast, or eggs, and as an aspiring Korean chef also gave us some homemade radish kimchi with our omelet! We also availed the complimentary breakfast of poha and tea which was very well made. I look forward staying here again on my next visit to Khajuraho and would recommend Ibaad homestay to all travelers looking for a home away from home. You will be treated like family. I recommend. Very good people. Do everything for good prise and help alot.
