I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in the meadow (the iconic photo that you see when you search Khajjiar in Google), where you can book your stay through the Himachal tourism website. It was lush green and the weather was pleasant in September. The good thing about Khajjiar is that it's not overcrowded (yet). There is so much fresh air and tranquility. You can take a good walk around the perimeter and then sit on a bench and enjoy the view how much ever you want. This place is a great escapade from the noise and crowd of the city.
Visiting Khajjiar Lake in Himachal Pradesh was an enchanting experience that left me awe-inspired by nature's beauty. It is a very peaceful place, and lots of greenery. I would recommend going with family and friends to spend an entire day or can stay for couple of days. The route is pretty hilly so be careful if you are driving personal vehicle, for me it was wery wonderful experience.
Khajjiar which is also known as Mini Switzerland truly lives up to its name. This majestic place is a must visit place in your lifetime. There are hardly any places like this in india other than Kashmir Doodh Pathri. I visited this place multiple times but every time this place feels special. Visited this place 9 months back too.
Iconic lake shown in bollywood movies especially in Rishi Kapoor's movies, The Khajjiar Lake. I went there with lots of expectations and although 80% passed as natural beauty of this lake is amazing but mankind failed by 20%, we ruined it.. it shrinked badly. I don't know the reason but it happened .. Khandar ko dekh ker laga ki imarat buland rahi hogi.. we had great time around the bugiyaals of lake. Good spot for spending 1-2 hours easily and for family picnic
Nice place to picnic with family . There are few activities like para gliding , zorbing , horse riding which you can do at a cost. There is a public toilet available for rs 10 per person however it is not very clean . Few food stalls are available for snacks .
Extremely scenic and on par with any European tourist places. I feel, a few unnecessary tourist attractions (such as Horse riding and inside park eateries) should be avoided to make this more pleasant
Awesome beautiful. The lake is just out of the world. Infact the The whole way from kalatop to khajjiar is raw Beauty, just marvelous.
Very nice hotel. With cozy room and very nice service. All staff of hotel is very helpful. I stayed for one night and it was amaz8ng time. Niice view from room. Manager Vinod is very helpful and cool person. Food is very delicious. Overall very nice

Beautiful Lake needs to be maintained well. Either i noticed that water level is getting increased year by year. It will really disastrous in future. Gods are saving us always but it will happen sometimes if don't improve us.
Very beautiful and serene place but gets crowded as the sun goes higher. Horse riding and other activities are available later in the day. Best time to see the lake is early morning.
My advice would be to stay in Dalhousie than in Khajjiar. It's very quiet at night and not safe for drivers in case they choose to sleep in car parked outside given hotel's dormitory in not in good shape for them to use. Even you will feel lonely if
Puri Veg Restaurant is good place for vegetarian food. Food was not so great, but their Cholle Bhature were just wow. The cholle were smoked and had a really wonderful taste that you won't find just everywhere. People, If you're in Khajiar, please go
Very good service is provided. Quality of dishes is up to the mark. Quantity of food given is very good. They also maintain a very well hygiene in the restaurant. Rates are genuine. Highly recommended.
