Khajjiar Adventure Activities - Featured Reviews (152)
Had heard this is called the Switzerland of India (similar to Gulmarg/Sonmarg) and the place didn't disappoint. It was so huge with dense forests on three sides which makes for a beautiful sight. Because it's so big you don't feel crowded as well as there wide open spaces for people to sit, enjoy and play. I really liked that it was maintained well and clean with dustbins all around and also next to food vendors.
A very large grassy ground to relax, not in June because you will feel hot in summer, there are sky diving, horse riding available here. There is not quality restaurant here, there is also a small lake with lots of fishes. Being no proper take care and maintenance of lake water quantity going less so the dishes are dying.
360 degree mountain views with lush green lawns and a pristine lake in the middle! This place is a feast for the eyes. Perfect place for nature lovers! Lots of picnic activities for families and adventure seekers. the road from Dulhousie is not in good condition so start well on time to avoid hickups. lots of restaurants and overnight lodges for day travellers and boarders. Overall a great place for a family outing or for solo travellers.
It really looks like Switzerland but the mantainance here is not as it should be. Specially when its rainy season, the adventure activities stops. We went for paragliding but unfortunately due to bad weather assumptions they said they can't provide us the service. Also there is very bad service for local transportation. If you crosses 3pm there, then u are almost stuck. Try to be well on time so that u could leave early. The food is just satisfying.
The park is a large and open land covered with grass and surrounded by hills and forests. The park has a small pond at the centre. There are a few fun activities like giant bubble ride and rabbits for clicking pics with them. There are some dhabas where they serve tea, coffee, pakoras and Chinese. It's a peaceful place for relaxation and gets chilly as soon as the sun sets.
A worth place visiting near Dalhousie. This is a park surrounded by deodar trees. This place have food scenic view and worth visiting. Spent 2 hours here and then move to Dainkund which is a small trek to Dainkund peak. Moving 900m further, there is Pohlani temple, where you can get a glimpse of Manimahesh Kailash trek.
Mini Switzerland, Paragliding point. Big space ground. Beautiful view. Horse riding also here. Horse rider guys unique way of riding. Avoid to visit in night, because road is not too good. Should visit in oct- Dec. Not too much rush beautiful view and perfect for campaign.
Khajjiar Park (23 kms from Dalhousie, at the hight of 6400 feet) is a crater formed by the impact of a saucher-shaped Asteroid, which came down from the east. This place is called "Mini Switzerland" because of its topographical resemblance with Switzerland. A Khaji Naga Shrine is situated beside the Khajjiar lake. You can view the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas from Khajjiar Park, if you get the clear sky.
Very beautiful and serene place but gets crowded as the sun goes higher. Horse riding and other activities are available later in the day. Best time to see the lake is early morning.
Very nice hotel. With cozy room and very nice service. All staff of hotel is very helpful. I stayed for one night and it was amaz8ng time. Niice view from room. Manager Vinod is very helpful and cool person. Food is very delicious. Overall very nice
I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in th
Beautiful Lake needs to be maintained well. Either i noticed that water level is getting increased year by year. It will really disastrous in future. Gods are saving us always but it will happen sometimes if don't improve us.
My advice would be to stay in Dalhousie than in Khajjiar. It's very quiet at night and not safe for drivers in case they choose to sleep in car parked outside given hotel's dormitory in not in good shape for them to use. Even you will feel lonely if
Puri Veg Restaurant is good place for vegetarian food. Food was not so great, but their Cholle Bhature were just wow. The cholle were smoked and had a really wonderful taste that you won't find just everywhere. People, If you're in Khajiar, please go
Very good service is provided. Quality of dishes is up to the mark. Quantity of food given is very good. They also maintain a very well hygiene in the restaurant. Rates are genuine. Highly recommended.
