Khagol Mandal Neral Observation Site - Observatory in Malegaon - Raigad, India

Loved it.! Quite educational. All the instructors and volunteers had in depth knowledge about astronomy and astrology. Food was average they could give better taste . It was very bland. Overall it was a very good experience. We saw Saturn, many famous constellations, messeiers objects , star clusters etc.

If you genuinely want to explore core of agro tourism, this is the place for you. Do not go with a mindset of typical artificial resort concept where you booze, AC rooms, hardcore party. Instead of that you will get a clear soothing river to take a nature bath, authentic agro breeze, good tea, mental peace etc. Highly recommended.

Amazing facility for amateur Astronomy students. Khagolmandal is a non profit organization situated in Mumbai and they conduct their star watching activates in beautiful Saguna Baug( a well known agro-tourism centre). It is definitely worth attending Sky Observation sessions here. Food and mid night tea is served here for all the people attending the program.

This is an observation site of night sky observationas and stargazing which is conducted by Khagol Mandal, which is an amateur astronomy club. Astronomy enthusiast and amateur astronomers along will common people come here for stargazing. This place is located in Saguna Baug Agro Tourism Resort which is in Neral. This place is 15 min away from Neral Railway station.

Khagolmandal is a Mumbai based organization which has vast followers and volunteers. They use Saguna Baug's pollution free atmosphere to do sky observation. Generally such programmes are conducted on 'no moon Saturday nights' . About 100 to 250 guests visit such programs and about 10 to 15 Khagolmandal volunteers take care of the sky observation. Saguna Baug people take care of the venue maintenance, cleanliness, security and food service. There is ample space for parking but Saguna Baug provides bus pick up and drop in the early morning. Midnight and early morning tea is included in the package and one can avail veg dinner at extra cost. Toilets are close to the ground where sky observation takes place. A must visit event.

Superb experience of learning more about the constellations and galaxy. Excellent trained people. Must attend this seminar. Fun for kids and parents too.

Exemplary place to spend time with your family and friends. Good initiative by Saguna Baug administrators involving local people and promoting Mallakhamb to kids and making them part of an elite display of physical and mental strength in a tender age as theu are currently in. Good tasty food just makes the experience worth cherishing. Only downside is mere pathetic roads and complete overlook of upkeep of such a beautiful place by the local body there(again this can't be held against Saguna Baug but people thronging to Matheran, Saguna Baug and other nearbu place do deserve to have descent roads nothing to flashy but atleast a bit transportworthy atleast!) Do visit with friends and family for a fun and frolic day out where there's something for every type of person kids or adults!

The skies are good, although some parts of the horizon aren't visible, the site is a good spot for night sky observation.
