Kethenahalli Falls Start Point - Hiking area in Golladoddi - Chikkaballapura, India

You can easily get lost - at least we did! We went off route for about a km or so and then walked back out steps! We were early and we did not have anyone else to ask for directions. We somehow took the right path and reached this place. It is worth the walk we took - when we saw the waterfalls not sure if there are a lot of tourists here - till we left we hardly saw some 10 odd people all over the place. There are many places where you can relax and chill. It is not yet dirty but we did see a few plastic bottles and wrappers. I wish people will take better care and not spoil such a serene place. We did get into the ice cold water and stayed there for a bit. This place is for to relax and take some awesome photographs. There are no shops whatsoever - so please do carry everything you need. There was a person stopping from entering at the main turn from road - was not there when we came in! Not sure if he was asking for money or not. But he was noting all vehicle no's. going in and out. Little bit of offroading for the bikes. Overall, a fun weekend place to be

There are 3 layers of the fall that one can access. The last layer has a steep drop-down of about 20ft. These are mostly natural steps or made through NREGA labour. Rains will make the trek worse. The falls are a 3Km walk from the main road. There are 4 or 5 cautious spots along the way but can be negotiated. Brisk and consistent walk takes about 30 mins one way. Wear shoes to trek and come with dry clothes. Many take bath. There is no place to take shelter near the falls. So carry raincoat and umbrella if you anticipate rains. To enjoy clear waters, come early in the morning and leave by 12 noon. It tends to get a bit crowded. On this Sunday at 4.30 pm, there were about 30 people around the fall.

Best place for roaming and tracking really u will enjoy but u have to walk for 1.5 km

Yeah it was a wonderful experience.A small suggestion be careful while taking a trek off the main road

The path is very difficult to walk we have walk 2-3kms inside forest to reach there when we reached there there is no water should visit in rainy season

It's nice place for hike and to enjoy water falls! But it's a restricted reserved forest area.where public is not allowed to enter in to the forest. There will be no sign or any warning indications saying that one should not enter the forest but Karnataka Forest Department will stop u at the entrance while you return and ask for money in form of fine. So please avoid going there without permission.

Amazing trek and water falls. The water in fit for bathing or entering into. But the falls itself is magnificent. Good 5km trek, 2way.
