Keshkal Valley - Tourist attraction in Garh Siliyara - Kondagaon, India

I had heard a lot about this while crossing the valley I didn't feel that I crossed 12 turns I could imagine how it must have been 10 years back. govt worked so well please go there

Absolutely hell-like experience to travel through this road. It's dusty and getting destroyed to such an extent that you can't see the road in daytime if there's a truck ahead.

This is not a tourism type of valley. It is a valley falling on NH 30 Vishakhapattnam- Jagdalpur- Raipur Route adjoining to Keshkal town in north . The route in the valley is approximately 4.5 km long. If we approach the valley from south (moving from Jagdalpur/ Kondagaon to Kanker/ Raipur), we can see there is a regular rise in the road, and exactly after Keshkal, there is a cliff. Now, the road descends in the cliff with sharp bends/ curves and progress closely to the left behind portions/ turns. Thus, the road goes close to zigzag curves. Road between turns is so close one can see as if there were 2, 3, or 4 roads in parallel. It has 12-13 sharp turns. It seems amazing to see, but only on the way. The feeling of embedding in the earth as you go deep down and jungles all around in a vast area is also amazing. Road conditions are poor and loaded heavy vehicles remain moving there, causing long and delaying traffic jams, so the environment remains so dusty and noisy. I recommend on the way visit, halt for 5- 10 minutes if possible. And carry on journey.

Keshkal Valley falls under kondagaon district on the Jagdalpur highway. The valley is about 500m above sea level with excellent views all around. The existing keshkal ghat road consisting of numerous hair pin bends was constructed during the British era.

Its amazing place is one of my favorite because its near my native place and beautiful view from hear now its more expanded but still you need to drive safely and carefully. you need to climb valley about 9-10 U turn over there and in between you see temple also. Here you can feel nature. At top of valley you can see a beautiful view cloud mountain and greenery. Note - This valley is nothing but only national highway here no guest house, no hotel, nothing is available, before valley at kanker city you can stay or at makri you find a makri hotel you can enjoy your food there.

This is the most scenic part of the Raipur-Jagdalpur route and the dangerous one too. The view here is mesmerizing although the road condition is not the best. As the road is not 04 lanes or divided by the dividers for two way traffic so sometimes you are going to stuck in traffic jam for longer and the other times you'll get across the valley unbothered. Road conditions should be improved.

Beautiful ghat, but the road is very dangerous. Though it is repaired now and then but becoz of heavy vehicles it get damaged. Some permanent solution is call of the hour
