The place provides authentic Kerala meals. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to heavy crowd, sometimes, the stuff gets over, so it is recommended to go on time. The taste is satisfactory and the quantity is perfect. This place is very much the budget. So perfect in every way. Please note vegetarian options are not easily available, you can try for a vegetarian breakfast though. Please ask before as the dishes change daily.

I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at Kerala Cafe in Varkala, and I must say, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, I couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment. First and foremost, the prices on the menu were shockingly high for what was offered. I expected an authentic culinary experience, but what I received was far from it. The prices seemed to be inflated without any justification in terms of taste or quality. I left the restaurant with a bitter taste in my mouth, and not just from the food. Speaking of taste, the food was lackluster at best. I ordered a dish that was supposedly a local specialty, but it fell flat in terms of flavor and presentation. The ingredients seemed lackluster, and I couldn't help but feel like I could have prepared a better meal myself at a fraction of the cost. The biggest disappointment, however, was the customer service or rather, the lack thereof. The staff appeared disinterested and unengaged, making the already overpriced meal even harder to swallow. It seemed as if they were doing me a favor by serving me, rather than genuinely valuing my patronage. All in all, my experience at Kerala Cafe was far from enjoyable. The high prices, lackluster food, and poor customer service left me with a feeling of regret. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic or enjoyable dining experience. There are far better options available in Varkala that offer better value and more memorable meals.

Lighter decor than some of the other local places. Everything we tried was good. My partner liked it too and she is vegetarian. Came back for breakfast

After so much travel we visited and stayed nearby there and for two days we ate in this cafe... Good at their food and service

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff. They delayed our food by 30 mins. We asked for parotta and they started heating chapatis and distributed to everyone. We said we'll have chapatis and he starts making parottas. We asked for dosa and he doesnt make dosa for 15+ minutes. Finally 7 of us only got 5 parottas and 2 chapatis we had to split miserly. We ordered two gravies. They were very mid. Absolute waste of time and money. Do not visit

Very affordable breakfast options when you stay in Varkala. Almost everything is available if you visit before 10am. Good sitting space available too.
