KAYLANA LAKE - Tourist attraction in Jodhpur, Golasani - Jodhpur, India

The place is beautiful but the water of lack is dirty and the place need some upgrades.Here you can enjoy rope sling activity.For food you can't find any stall, here only lemon soda and BHEL available. you can enjoy boat safari and a little garden for kids also.most important is weather and non polluted fresh air .

Kaylana Lake is located 8 km west of Jodhpur. It is a man-made, an artificial lake, that delights everyone with a relaxing weekend retreat and has a calm, peaceful environment . The lake sprawls over an area of 84 square km .In ancient times this region had palaces and gardens made by two rulers of Jodhpur - Bhim Singh and Takhat Singh. These were destroyed to make Kaylana Lake. The lake is situated between igneous rock land formations and serves as an important source of water for the local population of Jodhpur and all the sorrounding towns and villages For Best Sunset view visit after 5Pm you can see orange sky There is a small garden which is not well maintained. This beautiful place is unlucky enough to have had people litter this place, so irresponsible. People use to throw used water bottles, eatables, plastics, wafer packs etc.. Boating and zipline currently not working , i am so much disappointed. But great views here in early morning. And you don't need of any ticket.

Kaylana Lake was constructed by Pratap Singh in 1872 at around 8km of west of the city. The main source of this lake is Hathi Canal which further meets to the Indira Gandhi Canal. Kaylana lake is the source of drinking water for the people of Jodhpur and surrounding towns/villages. The panoramic views of the surrounding hills will amaze you and if your visit is in rainy season the views will become more eye catching. I recommend you to visit in the evening to experience the stunning sunset over the lake. The lake is a habitat for various migratory birds. At the entry gate, food stalls are available where you can enjoy lemonade, corn, chat etc. As the local vendor informs the lake is very deep and avoid swimming in it. When we visited the site, expansion work was going on around the area. If you love trekking, you can hike around the lake to find unexplored viewpoints. Don't forget to have fun of boating, camel riding & Zipline. Boating starts at 9AM and continues till sunset. The boating rate for Motor Boat: Rs. 120/-, Luxury Boat: 200, Speed Boat: 250, Jet ski boat: 500/-. We could not enjoy boating as the minimum passengers required to operate the boat was not fulfilled.

This is place from where the entire Jodhpur city gets water. The good thing about Rajasthan is here you can found everything which definitely had a history. The boating was not active while we were there. Boating in this lake will be beautiful.

Its a narrow and long lake. Boating options of speedboats and mutiseater motor boat. Zip line over the river is good. The cleanliness near river bed is very poor, also accessiblity to boats for old people is impossible. Mini Camel rides and horserides available.

This is a big lake on the outskirts of Jodhpur. Activities such as Boating (Motor Boat & Speed Boat) and Ziplining are available here. Motor Boating costs about Rs120 per person for a session of 15-20 minutes with approximately 15-20 people boarding at the same time. Speed Boating costs about Rs250 per person for a session of 3 minutes with about 5-6 people boarding at the same time. Boating is a fun experience (4/10) with a fairly nice scenery of Cacti, shrubs, Nilgais and roads circling the lake boundary (7/10)

I saved my visit to Kaylana Lake for the last day - a choice I really came to regret. The lake itself is undoubtedly picturesque, encircled by gentle hillocks, and its vast expanse is truly awe-inspiring. If you're in Jodhpur, I recommend reserving your visit for the evening hours, and on the weekdays! Drive a bit around a lake to find a spot away from the crowd, to truly enjoy the serenity! There are various activities near the lake, like boating and zip lining, if you have time, I 100% recommend opting for the boating! There were plentiful eateries near the point! We drank nimbu paani and ate dahi kachori(it wasn't that good but was enough to temporarily sate our hunger) Also, 100% recommended for the people who think Rajasthan only has desert!
