Kayamkulam Junction railway station at alappuzha District. Its has total of 5 platforms. Opened on 1958 and its full electrified tracks. The trains coming from trivandrum are split in kayamkulam Junction towards alappuzha and Kottayam. Its one of the most important stations with almost all trains stopping over there.
Decently sized railway station, so most trains do stop here despite being part of a small City. Difficult waiting for a train at night as the station isn't lit up properly.
2.5 km from bus stand and national highway.A terminal bus stand is there at infront of the railway stn.Sadly no buses to Adoor route.You can get buses to Kayamkulam bus stand
