Best destination to hang out in kayamkulam. Beautiful place to spend evening with your family and kids.There is no entry fee or parking fee. Enough space available for parking. You can enjoy the beauty of Kayamkulam Kayal through the walkway. Mermaid statue enhance the charm of this place. There is a small play area for children. Cons are the place is not well maintained and playground equipments started rusting. Watery area near mermaid statue is fully dumped with plastic garbage. Authorities pay no attention in maintaining this beautiful place
Posting this on 18 Oct 2023. NOT a great place to visit with family. This has now become a lover's park + Boozing place and filled with rougues. Don't plan to visit here. As there is nothing interesting here. No boating too. So waste of time
Best tym to visit lake palace is in the morning and evening during sunset and sunrise.It's very relaxing place to visit but try to avoid visiting at noon .
Not well maintained, a small children's park is there, hard to find the way from NH. Should have been better if maintained well

A good place for morning and evening walks. There is a path made along the lake to take strolls. Best place for couples.
Highly not recommend to visit the place for below reason : 1.) Place / Park is not maintained. 2.) The monument is in highly degraded state. 3.) The place stinks. 4.) The place is not anymore for families, since it more for couples who`s search for secluded places end here. 5.) No hotels or eatery nearby. 6.) No proper direction for the place if you are new in the town. 7.) Children play area is not functional and all equipment's are in broken state.
