Kayalpura Island Resort - Resort hotel in Cherthala - Alappuzha, India

Quite disappointed by the resort stay. We were a 11 member crew, informed to the owners, although ended up back and forth transportation on a small single boat. The parking facility provided were in a wet land causing sinking of the vehicles within the site and were difficult for us to walk through. The toilets were untidy, unsafe and had saline water. Food weren't provided timely, even though enjoyed it. Fishing rob was broken and had an alternative thread for the activity. The rats were too enjoying the favours. Won't recommend for anyone. In summary, the stay was quite boring as they haven't provided any of the exceptional activities offered in their webpage(music,campfire,grill etc ). Instead we were forced to pay extra for the staff purchases and services which remained unfulfilled. The money loot and the convenience of the staff were the major priority of the resort than the value of their guests.

Atmosphere and ambience is the highlight of this resort. You can have their delicious food enjoying the beauty of lake. The place is so calm. If you're looking for a peaceful Private resort with good food & Activities in Alappuzha, this is your place.

There were 11 of us and we had the worst experience here. First of all their service was worst. There was no grill facility provided even though they charged us Rs. 600 extra for that. The entire property is rusty and unsafe. They didn't provide any proper fishing facility as they have mentioned in the list. One of our friend got injured due to the rusty old construction. Then comes the care takers attitude towards us. He was shouting at us all the time and during the toddy shop visit they provided a fake bill which includes an additional bill of care taker where he parcels additional toddy for himself. The care taker was drunk all the time. They have mentioned music in the list but it will not be provided. If you want music then you've to bring the speaker. They've mentioned the lunch time as 1:00pm but we got our lunch aayi 3:00 pm even though we've checked in at exact 12:00 pm. There's no additional activity when you reach there. Most of the time was boring. Then at 4:00 pm they took half of us in a boat and dropped us at the toddy shop and then the boat left to bring the other half members whose still waiting in the resort. They only have a small boat which cannot accommodate the 11 of us all together.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this resort. Right from the entrance and parking area, the boatman was inebriated and displayed a terribly rude attitude toward the guests. The initial view of the resort was a far cry from the pictures shown by the agent. The property was in a deplorable state, particularly the second cottage. All the curtain rings were damaged, the toilet door didn't work, and the area outside the rooms was a complete mess with a slew of maintenance items strewn about. The kitchen was disgustingly unhygienic. One of our guests was injured on the bridge with a view of the lake because the bridge was damaged and hadn't been maintained by the management. The bridge actually collapsed while they were on it. Communicating with the boatman was an ordeal. During our boating trip, he took us to a toddy shop, and their bill was unexpectedly added to ours, leaving us to foot the bill. We were told they'd arrange a barbecue grill, but at the end of the day, they simply refused, citing difficulties in finding charcoal and creating unnecessary drama. When it came time to reach the resort, we couldn't get transport after 6 PM, and some of our guests had to walk back to the resort. In short, the service was abysmal, except for the lady in the kitchen, who was acceptable. While the food was good, the state of the cottages was atrocious.

The location is significantly expensive, and the rooms are quite compact, accommodating more occupants than comfortable. The services are very poor and with staff behavior often disrespectful and seemingly under the influence. Getting assistance here is a constant struggle.

Complete fake.I didn't like anything. This place was so disgusting, horrible customer service, worst experience ever. DO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY.....

Had to experience the worst vacation experience in kerala.The service they provide really disappointed us. I would never recommend any one to take a staycation there!

Booking done through agent , accomodated 7people in one cottage, suffocated, owner was friendly but the boat man was always drunk and rude attitude towards us
