Kayalpura Homestay in Kollam - Home Stay in Kureepuzha - Kollam, India

We stayed in this "home-stay" for 3 nights. It is indeed a resort by the Astamudi Lake, and has three rooms. The rooms are spacious, adequately furnished (not luxurious though), and clean. Same can be said about the bathroom. Small sit-outs in front of the rooms overlooking the lake adds to its charm. The owner/manager Mr. Haris and the caretaker Mr. Santosh had been very warm and helpful in organizing whatever we needed, especially food and local transport. The only disadvantage that we found is that the resort does not have a running kitchen, and there are no restaurants nearby. Though Mr. Haris/Santosh organized wholesome breakfast and the meals from nearby households and restaurants and cooked some tasty dessert (payasam) in-house, it needed pre-planning. We felt that food to be a little pricey too. If one can accommodate this little inconvenience, Kayalpura is a nice place to spend a few peaceful days.

I stayed at Kayalpura for 2 days from 28th and 29th October. This place in Kollam was superb! Outstanding! Mind blowing! Serene! Lovely! And most importantly, Homely! It was love at first sight with the place when I saw kayalpura Homestay. Haris and Biju were super hosts for us. we were greeted by Welcome Drinks and were given our rooms which was super clean and tidy. The place had an amazing vibe! Positivity! Heavenly feel! So, to all those who are going to Kollam for any reason, this is the place to be! It's like a must stay place there! For the ones visiting Kollam and places nearby do stay at Kayalpura and enjoy the lovely views and hospitality of Haris and Biju

I stayed here with family for two nights... The room is very cozy room . The lake view is excellent with very soothing breeze. The food is extra ordinary and the chef Mr. Ranjith took care of all our culinary special requests. Mr. Haris is a Super host and was available to take care of us from check in to check out. Ideal spot for an extended family or friends reunion vacation trip or just chilling out for a few days.. We plan to go back soon..

It's a small, but very beautiful home stay at the banks of Ashtamudi. Very good food especially seafood. They have 3 rooms waterfront. Their hospitality is commendable and the cook needs special appreciation. Overall a great experience. Suitable for family get together.

we as a family stayed in this small hevan 3 days. It was really an amazing experience. Though we went in summer time, we never felt the heat while staying in this beautiful place. Service was really good with tasty home made food. overall, we had a very pleasant experience. I felt that we could have stayed there for a week time if we could extend our leaves.

A place away from the Madding crowd, where there are peace and tranquility. An absolute relaxation sets in, the moment you set foot on the place. The ambiance of the homestay is breathtaking. Ashtamudi Lake is your front yard, the green lush, and the wind adds to the mood. The service is great the commute is easy, and the rooms were clean. I and my friend had a great time.

This is best place to stay with family in kollam. Excellent view of backwaters, calm, homely atmosphere, good care by Mr & Mrs Anzar. Home cooked food was nice and excellent. Backwaters cruise was arranged. We enjoyed it.
