Kayaloram Heritage Lake Resort - Resort hotel in Alappuzha - Alappuzha, India

Reaching the resort is a tedious task since there are no sign boards at all. Better use Google maps. Regarding the place, it is well maintained and the staff and service is really good. The rooms are very clean and the view is Amazing. I recommend the lake view rooms. The infinity pool is maintained properly and water is cleaned every night. Food is little bit costly but it is tasty. Overall a good place for couples and weekend family get together.

We stayed there over a weekend, a group of seven families. Though the resort is not that huge, it has ample space for us to relax and fit the kids to run around. Facing the lake with no barriers between, the experience was awesome, though a bit dangerous. I didn't see a single security personnel to oversee and there wasn't any safety equipments that I can see. I had to constantly run behind my 1 year old making sure he just don't go too near the lake. The rooms were also pretty good, with cozy traditional kerala style rooms and an open bathroom which took some time to get the hang off. The service wasn't that great though. After I checked in, i didn't see a single responsible staff around to ask us for any help needed. Food too wasnt that good. Though there were some negative the overall evidence was pretty good.

the location of the resort is awesome and they have a nice swimming pool near backwaters. We reserved 4 rooms, they have maintained some rooms very well, but not all. the topside of bathrooms are open, will create problems while raining. Food was really good, even though it is bit costly. Staffs are very helpful.

Spend 3 Nights ,Very good location , nice atmosphere. Used Lake view Villa which gave awesome view and Sunrise. Rooms are good. Nice and helpful staff. Food was tasty but Poor menu.I have not get any Alappy local food like Duck Curry , Shrimps , Kari meen Etc.

Nice quiet place away from hustle and bustle of city. Great place to relax right by the sea. The view was simply out of the world. Swimming pool was scenic and clean. Rooms were neat, open bathrooms were a novelty. Though there was a bit problem with insects at night. Waking up to the rooster calls and ducks quacks was a great experience. Staff and hospitality was too good. They provided us with snacks and tea right by the garden benches. However food was lacking in taste.

Superbly located on the backwater. Tastefully done up. Do not expect 5 star resort quality- amenities are basic. All rooms have AC, but all rooms dont have TV or cable. That gives a good opportunity to simply enjoy the outdoors.

Stayed there from 18th Oct 2017 till 21st Oct 2017. Adv: Excellent lake view with lush green surroundings. Decent breakfast. Disadv: Restricted internet connectivity, poor lighting inside the cottage rooms, provision of online payment not there as the card swiping machine doesnot work, very lethargic staff (promptness missing) and finally experienced rude staff behaviour on several occasions. Wouldnot recommend it.

One of the best resort in the price range. Beautiful, picturesque and scenic. The resort is coupled with an ayurvedic treatment centre, Mahaushadhi Ayurveda, which is run by one of the spearheads of ayurveda in kerala, Dr. V. Madhavachandran who has over 20 years of experience in ayurvedic practice. The rooms are uniquely made to capture the traditional feel of the state. The restaurant serves good food coupled with the amazing service, makes it a worthy choicefor dining. It is an excellent resort which captures the vibrant beauty of the much celebrated backwaters of kerala.
