Kaveri Restaurant and Catering - Vegetarian restaurant in Ranchi - Ranchi, India

Kaveri Restaurant is Ranchi's one of the oldest Restaurants. This restaurant is pure veg so if you are a non-veg lover this place is not for you. The environment, food, service all you find good here. Sometimes, you have to wait outside the restaurant for your turn because of the rush. Now come to the food, I have ordered veg thali which cost me around Rs 300 was delicious and enough for 2 people easily. On the plate there were 3 veggies, Dal, Kadi, Dahi-vada, 3 types of rotis, rice, papad and many more. If you are in Ranchi you must visit this place.

This is an excellent and one of the best veg restaurant of ranchi and also very old . The food quality here is very good and service here is also very fast . There is huge range of foods and also at a very cheap price. This restaurant is purely veg with good ambience and good food taste . The only problem with this place is this is very crowdy and this place has always wait line and we need to wait for atleast 15 mins specially during lunch and min 30 mins in night if u plan for dinner.

WE HAD LUNCH IN KAVERI , SOUP WAS TASTE LESS NO FLAVOURS AND PIZZA WHEN I ORDERED I ASKED ITS A READYMADE BASE OR OWN DOUGH HE TOLD OWN BUT PIZZA WAS PATHETIC BABY CORN CHILLI WAS UPTO MARK.MOJITO WAS NO ICE IN THAT.

It was a great experience of dining in there. Though we have to wait for 30 mins but worth the wait. Service was good. Decoration was beautiful. Food was awesome and can be share by two easily. We had soup, veg thali and dhosa.

Most of the time when we visit any restaurant we don't try to understand the history of the place. Kaveri Restaurant is a part of a group of hotels, restaurants and sweet Shops run by owners of Punjab Sweet House (which in itself is an amazing place running since a year after independence). My team visited Ranchi few months back and in search of good food they came across this amazing place. And after hearing so much praise about this place when I visited Ranchi I made a point to eat here once. Situated on MG road it is crowded on most of the days and waiting here is normal practice. Although I am not a big fan of waiting in line for food I still recommend to hold patience while visiting. The food here is very comforting, good quality, great taste and sufficient in quantity. Place has room to accomodate large number of customers and service is fairly quick. Waiters are really well skilled, they will make sure you are served in best manner. Talking about dishes I tried, one mix vegetable sabji (name I am unable to recollect) it was really upto the mark. Dal fry and jeera rice had a good taste. Overall this was an amazing experience and whenever you visit here don't forget to read the introduction in the menu, if you can connect with food and history it'll give you a unique feeling of joy sitting there. Note: They also deliver the food if you don't wish to wait.

I tried green salad, Thali and Soya Chaap. Thali has 3 kinds of main course, dal makhani paneer Butter masala mix veg 4 kind of bread, dahi bara, one small bowl of rice papad and one gulab jamun.

There's a reason why this place has a good reputation. The food, ambience and service was top notch. We wanted food without onion and garlic & they served without any issues. Overall rating: 9.5/10 Overall verdict: A must have if you're in Ranchi.
