Kavaru Seafood Restaurant - Restaurant in Kochi, Chellanam - Ernakulam, India

This small place is hosted on multiple buoys, basically its a floating restaurant, it moves/shakes when someone walks on it. There are around 7-8 tables and limited sea food menu serving tasty food at reasonable prices. We orded karimeen fish fry, fish curry and prawns fry with a thali which had peas and cabbage veggies, rice, papad and an amazing curd curry. Bill was around 800 for 2 ppl which i think was great for the food and the view and a different experience.

Being a vegetarian going to seafood restaurants is only for the experience and ambience Gone with cycling friends on an evening ride. As per their comments, the food was bit expensive and tasted good. The customer service is bit odd and not well. It's nice to visit in night times for the beautiful ambience of a floating restaurant. Run by fisheries society of government but not yet upto the level to attract tourists. Recommended for witnessing the ambience of the interiors and whole setup.

Off beat location in Kochi. It's an extended restaurant in the backwater area and a very nice location. Fish is fresh, yummy and priced well.

Simple and homely food. The place is run by 4 ladies ,they cook the most amazing home style curries that is generally eaten locally in any house hold . We had prawns masala , crab masala , kanambu fish( mullet) curry and Beef vindaloo.All good , but I will still give one up fr a Goan vindaloo than a kerala vindalloo. Appams were good so was puttu . The price for all the above items came to Rs.590/- which is really a good price . All fish etc are sourced from the waters sorrounding the restaurant ,which itself is floating on the backwaters

Nice floating restaurant with tasty seafood. Price is reasonable. Portion size is small. Great Ambience. Must have : Prawns roast.

A beautiful floating restaurant for hanging out with family/friends and good tasty food.. The surrounding area is not developed but good for sightseeing with chinese finishing nets in action every 15 minutes. Ideal to visit by about 4pm- 6:30 pm.. The rates are reasonable as we ordered Crab roast, prawns roast & Beef vindhalu which was good quantity for 3-4 people..
