Kavadiya Pahadi , Musical Stones - Featured Reviews (37)
To kavadiya hill, it is back breaking, neck breaking ride. Via dev guradiya, pedmi ghaat, to Potla village. After that it is all jungle of Udaynagar, one would find few native people and/or forest dwellers, otherwise there is absolute silence in the middle of the jungle and hardly see any being. It is very very hard to reach which is why it is still comparatively much more beautiful. I am not sure but it is more than 100 feet to reach to top, there are huge stones laying in the name of steps so actually there are no steps. The place is unbelievably silent and has a breath taking view from the top. There is a statue of panchmukhi hanuman ji in a rectangular trench, and a small havan kund, better not to touch any thing in there. Very very basic temple, actually it is not purely a temple but just a place of worship and some rituals I guess. And! Yes! The stones there do produce musical sounds, for which it is actually famous. There is no approach road here , consumable can be bought but from few kms before. You won't find anything when you enter the jungle after Potla, not even drinking water, so go prepared. This is not at all a place to play "Rambo" here as it is situated in quite a deep jungle and forest of Udaynagar is famous for Tigers and Leopards! Also if you wish for off roading here then you must have a compatible two wheeler or else control yourself, otherwise you'll have to pay high price. Most importantly! Respect the nature, the forest, the place, the spaces of natives here and do not litter it with plastic or anything alike. Enjoy the Adventure
Kavadiya Hills are less crowded unknown place for many peoples. It can be considered as the 8th Wonder of the world which is famous for the rare hexagonal rock formation which are generally formed from volcanic erruption but the fun fact is there is no volcano nearby this place. If you are coming with motorcycle then you have to do some off roading to reach here which is slightly difficult. If you are coming by car then you have to park your car two kms away where the motorable road ends. Presently this place is under Forest Department Madhya Pradesh but this place needs more development and publicity also.
Place is worth watching... But approach roads are not maintained. Peaceful place... purely natural.
