Kaushambi Ashoka Pillar - Historical landmark in Kosam Khiraj - Kaushambi, India

I visited this place because it was once the capital of the great Vatsa Kingdom. The history of the place dates back to the pre-evangelical Buddhism era. There are three places to visit, and among them, I liked the ruins of forts on jamna shores

Beautiful place...with a broken Ashok pillar in the centre... archeological evidence, greenery everywhere during monsoons and winter season...neglected by government

This place is very neat and clean but the samrat ashok stambh is in poor condition too many cracks on the stambh. Very silent place.

Very nice place but the government needs to clean this place. This is a historical place, there is no arrangement for food and drink, so you are requested to bring water and some food items with you if you come to visit. Thank you

Buddhist site of Kaushambi is imp place but UP govt and ASI both have not even put sign board indicating the site..Travel ahead of police station near Jain temple there are 2 sites
